- Carlos and Laura Trinidad had a great relationship and family home. As a lawyer however, Carlos' discovered connection to the Dominican Cartel made it difficult for their family to stay together. When the two become separated, Laura begins taking care of their twin son and daughter, Sebastian, and Mya, on her own.
Despite the separation, Sebastian and Mya have always had a great support system. They have always been pretty good kids with a solid upbringing and two parents that love them dearly. The twins have a good relationship and have always been there for each other. Although things are still going well for the Trinidad's however, Laura begins to start seeing a different side to Sebastian that she is not sure she likes.
As deep family secrets begin to emerge, Laura begins to find herself in a struggle with Sebastian. He suddenly becomes focused on living his own life and separating himself from the rules of his mother. Sebastian begins to display juvenile delinquent tendencies and Laura begins to fear he could be involved in something much, much worse. Laura's nightmares had come back to her recently, but she never thought they would be trying to tell her to protect Mya or that something sinister may be closer to her than she knows.
While seeking some professional help for the dreams and her emotions, Mr. Bob, the family friend, and driver, informs Laura that Mya has been kidnapped while he was keeping an eye on her and her friends. Carlos and Laura work with detectives to come up with the ransom demanded and save their daughter, but time continues to slip past them. As Carlos hatches a plan to come up with the money on his own, Sebastian tries to find his sister and Laura continues to struggle with her nightmares.
Laura's nightmares have grown more frequent and more intense, so she begins to wonder if the dreams are detailing her future or outlining her past. As Sebastian grows more defiant, Laura continues to suspect that he may be involved with Mya's disappearance and could also be involved in the future tragedies she starts to see coming.
