Whilst most of the cast from Kirby: Right Back at Ya! (2001) reprised their roles in this short, the only exceptions were Madeleine Blaustein as Chef Kawasaki (due to her passing away in 2008) and Andrew Rannells as Nightmare (due to him having a Busy Career on Broadway). They were replaced by Ted Lewis (who also did King Dedede and Escargoon) and Michael Sinterniklaas respectively.
Nightmare and Chef Kawasaki are the second and third characters in the anime to have a voice replacement the first character was Chief Bookem in the fourth season of Kirby Right Back at ya (2001).
