The film features 487 uses of profanity, with an average of 5.6 per minute.
The Toy Store: T.W. BONKERS 'Toy & Candy Emporium,' is the actual name of the shop that is featured prominently in the film. The store was gifted the Christmas themed props, and during Christmas 2022, the shop redecorated using all of the props, including the Santa Throne stage. There wasn't a scary robotic Santa, as Bonkers is obviously kid friendly. On Black Friday, during the town's 'Festival of Lights' celebration, hundreds of children visited with a friendly Santa, surrounded by the movie props, which created a magical, non-horror experience.
The exterior of Tori's house is the interior of her neighbor's, and vice versa. The two houses are almost identical in layout. When Tori is looking out the kitchen window she is actually looking at empty forest.
The majority of the movie was filmed in Placerville, California, a historic mining town in the Sierra Nevada mountains outside of Sacramento. Many local landmarks are seen including the Bell Tower and Historic Cary Hotel, where the crew actually stayed. Many of the stores seen are the actual downtown stores, including the toy store. Tori's shop is the historical landmark John Pearson Soda Works, and the name can be seen on the building. Coincidentally, the building once did house a music store before becoming a cafe, but has been empty since 2018.
