- At the Crock house, Paula is icing a cake, and smiles in satisfaction. Larry works on mottos for his gym, and Artemis considers her athletic career. Later, Larry and Paula go jogging down main street. They go to the park and stop, looking at the Mahkent house. They talk about how the Mahkents attacked Courtney, and Paula says that they'll do something about it but she doesn't know what... yet.
In the forest, Mike and Jakeem look at the phone booth the Thunderbolt summoned when Jakeem wishes for "phone service". The two boys enter the booth and discover that it works, but they don't have a dime to make a call. They argue about how Jakeem's first wish went bad, and they hear something growling in the woods and run.
At the Whitmore house, Pat tries to call Mike but gets no answer. His family is there along with Sylvester and Yolanda, and he figures they have to be sure the Mahkents aren't involved in the boys' disappearance. Courtney figures the Mahkents are watching them, and Sylvester figures they were set up to suspect the Mahkents and someone is trying to distract them.
Sofus is in a bed at the hospital, with Lily and Cameron at his side. Lily says that they shouldn't be giving their enemies try to plan against them, and Cameron figures that aren't planning. He points out that Beth called 911. Lily says that now he knows about the JSA and what they did, and tells him to find Courtney and he knows what must be done yet. Cameron says that he knows, and walks out.
Cameron goes the mural he painted on the main street wall of his father and looks at it, and then turns and walks off.
Beth examines Rick while James and Beth look on. Beth points out that Sofus almost died, and Beth warns him that the hourglass has elevated his heart rate and blood pressure to dangerous levels. Rick insists that he feels fine, and he can't afford to be with his powers when the Mahkents are at large. Beth says that they're worried about him, and Beth tells him that if he is, he should take off the hourglass for ten minutes. Rick angrily tells her not to ever tell him what to do and walks out.
Pat and Sylvester drive to the Mahkent house and Sylvester says that the Mahkents are evil people. His former sidekick says that he wants to know if Mike is in there, and they can at least try to calm the water and if he isn't. Sofus answers the door and invites them in, and look around before closing the door. He leads them to the study, and Pat asks Sofus if he's seen Mike. Sofus says that he hasn't, and Pat asks if Sofus has harmed Mike and Jakeem. When Sofus takes offense at the allegation that he would harm a child, Pat snaps at him that he just tried to kill the JSA, then apologizes for losing his temper. Sofus says that they were defending themselves, and Pat asks where Lily is. The older man says that she went out to find some things to help with his recovery, then says that the whole situation should have happened and they've been hunted for what they can do. Pat tells Sofus that they don't want to hurt him, and they need to put an end to their feud. The older man points out that they killed Jordan, and there's no turning back. He says that they should leave town, and they should go before Lily returns and kills them. The two men go.
At the Whitmore home, Barbara calls around trying to find Mike and Jakeem. Lily knocks at the door, and Barbara lets her in. The older woman says that she came there to tell Barbara that the Whitmores have hurt her family too many times. Paula comes in, fires a crossbow bolt over Lily's shoulder, and tells her that she won't miss the next time. Once Lily leaves, Paula tells Barbara that she needs to learn how to run the weapon.
Mike and Jakeem run through the woods, and set off a net trap. Cindy steps out and asks what they're doing there, and Mike says that they came to see if she's okay. Mike explains about the creature that confronted them at the barn, and Cindy says that the trap was for it. She tells them to leave, and she thinks the creature is one of her father's science experiments, and she's going to capture the creature to clear her name. Cindy slips away when they're distracted, and Thunderbolt teleports them to the diner to get milkshakes. After they drink their milkshakes, they remember the creature.
Paula and Barbara go out in a field and Paula trains Barbara in shooting the crossbow. Barbara insists that it isn't her, and Paula tells her that Courtney is a fighter and she gets it from Barbara. With her next shot, Barbara misses and Paula tells her that they'll keep practicing.
In Blue Valley, Courtney finds Cameron in the park near his house. She asks how Sofus is doing, then apologizes for everything that happened. He asks why she did it, and she says that Rick and Yolanda were just protecting her. Cameron says that she should have told her the truth, and Courtney tells him that she didn't know how. She explains that she didn't want to change his memory of Jordan, then tells him that Jordan killed people to get what he wanted, and planned to kill more. Cameron admits that he's learning that Jordan wasn't a good guy, but he was his father and asks Courtney if she had to kill him. He asks who killed her father, and Courtney says that it was an accident. She tells him that it doesn't matter, and Cameron says that it matters to him. He begs her to tell him, and Courtney says that she did it and apologizes. Cameron tells him that he doesn't want to see her again and walks away, and Courtney leaves.
Later, Paula and Larry walk up to the Mahkent house and knock at the door. Paula hopes the Mahkents will be more open minded with them, former villains. Lily lets them in and takes them to the study where Sofus is, and Larry says that he's on behalf of the JSA and Whitmore. Paula says that they all want the same thing, and they need to learn from what happened and that's what Courtney has been trying to get them to do. Lily says that they'll never forgive the people who killed their son.
At the garage, Pat prepares to hit the skies in STRIPE. Mike and Jakeem come in and Pat hugs Mike, and Jakeem says that they found a huge mutant gorilla in the woods. Pat and Sylvester realize that it's one of the most dangerous opponents the original JSA faced.
At the Mahkent house, Larry tells the Mahkents that it's not about them and they helped Jordan because he believed in his dream to make American a better place for the kids. He warns that the fight will turn into a blood feud, and Paula asks the Mahkents what Jordan would have wanted. Larry says that he gave it up, and asks them if they will. Sofus tells Lily that he will, and asks if she will.
At the Whitmore house, Beth and Yolanda arrive as Pat and Sylvester summons them the JSA together. Sylvester explains that a scientist went by the name Ultra-Humanite, who learned how to transplant his name into different human bodies, with Dragon King's help. Eventually he put his brain in a mutated gorilla's body, and Sylvester figures that Ultra-Humanite killed Gambler. He doesn't know what Ultra-Humanite wants.
Larry and Paula leave, and they figure the Mahkents are considering their proposal for a truce. Inside, Lilly looks at the portrait of Jordan, his wife, and a young Cameron. She breaks into tears and tells Sofus that she misses Jordan, and he hugs her.
Courtney figures that Ultra-Humanite is the next evil that they all have to team up to stop, including the Crocks, Cindy, and the Mahkents. Yolanda isn't so sure, and Courtney says that they come together and make a new start. Pat warns that they'll have to work together.
In the forest, Ultra-Humanite growls
That night, Larry and Paula are on Main Street when Artemis calls and tells them that she got in and is going to Nebraska to become a quarterback. The couple says that they'll see Artemis at home, hang up, and hug. They find flyers from the gym leaving a trail into the sewer, and go down to investigate, figuring someone is laying a trap. They look around and find a room with monitors, and a hooded figure stabs Larry with an icicle and freezes him. He takes off his hood, revealing that he's Jordan, who says that they'll die together as he freezes Paula and lowers her to the ground. She and Larry reach out to each other and say that they love each other, and Jordan finishes them off with his ice powers, shattering them to pieces, and then walks off.
