"Detention" is a 2012 20-minute short film and can basically be split into two parts. The first 10 minutes a hungover substitute teacher watches over a class of detention while the 5 students turn his life into living hell. Afterward, the authoritarian principal takes over and initially seems in control, but one of the students is willing to take revenge on her. I thought as a whole this was an entertaining short film. It has funny moments and it has weak moments and it's all about the comedy. All in all, the positive outweighs the negative I would say and the characters (sociopath, nerd, two dumb blondes, black boy) were written realistically and in an entertaining fashion. Claudia and Peter Jurt, who also act a lot, came up with a convincing overall result I guess. Thumbs up.

A wonderful entertaining short film. All the characters are hilarious. You will love this film as it takes a regular school detention and introduces a variety of characters who crack you up. There are parts of this film that have you gagging in your seat. This short film is a must see from any aspiring actor or aspiring film director. The illustration of building characters and actors taking on their full roles as those characters are extremely evident in this film. Some of the disgusting scenes are truly realestic and make you want to gag or turn away. The story line, although probably done before in other films, was done so well that you want to see more as the combination of interesting children and adult characters was interesting. The use of the talking heads was genius on the part of the director as it helped set the character's true personalities. This is definitely a must see.

What the hell. Worst movie ever...I would rather listen to pop music and pull my own hair out than sit through this again. I lost countless Brain cells watching this....it was nothing but horrible 90 s references. I had to start drinking in order to make it through without wanting to kill myself. Don't watch it for the love of god or Satan depending on who you prefer... The only good part the the first two minutes. Seriously the people who loved this have no brains....which unfortunately when the zombies come they will be the only survivors which makes me sad because then there will be more crap like this created but at the same time I will be dead because I have a brain and hated this shitty movie that had no creative humor. It just used every imaginable flashback humor from a time we should all forget because that time sucked. Let's move on and be creative.
