Here is my background to Pauly D. I watched 2 or 3 clips of Jersey Shore when Beavis and Butthead showed clips of that show. One clip had Pauly D having a toy size dog poop around HIS place so that when Snooki came back she would be grossed out. So that is my experience with him. I also grew up in New York around a lot of very rich Italian kids (I'm poor and Irish), so I know where Pauly D is coming from because the one episode of this show I watched showed his parents are rich. So with all of that said, this is a show about Pauly D becoming a big name DJ and his entourage. I caught the episode where he is playing in the Palms casino's main club. He has a top floor penthouse (no doubt cross promoted with the TV show and the Palms), very very nice, two (or three?) stories tall. OK I get all of this, he's got his own TV show, was on a big hit TV show before, why wouldn't he be able to pack in a place as a DJ? So they make this show to be like he's never been on a hit TV show before in his life, they go out to a strip club in the day time and show the day time shift strippers who are NASTY, they show him with these nasty Italian chicks from back home who get so drunk that all they do is throw up in the toilet. I mean do the script writers think this is what their audience wants? WHY? I did a search and Paulie is making $11 MILLION dollars in 2012. Is this show supposed to make me think that Pauly's life is anything at all like this? Really? If that was real, then this guy is a total moron. A rich one but seriously man, you got the penthouse at the Palms and they never go out on the balcony? Get real, nasty chicks from your high school in Vegas who end up puking all night? Get real. I'll give it a 6 out of 10 because it did get me to watch it, but I will not do so voluntarily again. I heard this show did not get renewed, here's a tip Jackson, get you some hot chicks on that show and maybe guys like me will watch. Watching nasty looking chicks throwing up is funny but not something that will get me to tune back in, but then again, maybe the younger generation is into that because I think that was a big story line on Jersey Shore. Oh BTW, they didn't show Pauly doing much of his show, must have sucked.

In these series, we watch a grown up Pauly D trying to accomplish his dreams of becoming a famous DJ. Sounds cheesy and predictable, but it actually turned out pretty good. Not that it's the best show ever, but it's quite funny mostly. One of his friends is really fat and.. well, you see where this is going. Another one is someone who picks up a fight every night and.. self-explanatory. Trash television? Nope. Fair comedy, in my opinion. I understand people give this show a low rating because they're like 'OMG PAULY D FROM JERSEY SHORE RATE 1 NOW!'. That's stupid folks.. Just... give this show a try. You won't regret it at all.
