In the wake of the release of the recent album Standing Room Only, Tim McGraw says he probably would be dead if it weren’t for his wife, fellow country star Faith Hill.
“I guarantee you, had I not gotten married to Faith at 29 years old A, I probably would’ve ran my career into the ground, and B, I would’ve died already with my career into the ground, one or the other, and it wouldn’t have ever been where it’s at now,” McGraw said during an interview with Zane Lowe.
The two first met in 1994 and started dating in 1996, getting married that same year. McGraw and Hill have been married for 27 years and have three kids. Even with their successful careers, McGraw and Hill have always put their family first, which has helped their marriage.

As he prepares to release his new album, Standing Room Only, country music legend Tim McGraw joined Et Canada’s Morgan Hoffman for a wide-ranging interview that covered everything from his love of Cocoa Puffs to his wife’s Southern cooking.
“Ah, Southern Food,” admits the Louisiana native about his favourite cheat meal. “I mean, my wife’s Southern cooking! She’ll cook anything, but my cheat meal is usually peas, cornbread, collared greens, pork chops, fries and gravy.”
McGraw married his wife, fellow country music icon Faith Hill, in 1996, creating one of the industry’s most powerful couples.

Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth ended their Saturday night by dancing onstage to Jamie Foxx's hit "Blame It (On the Alcohol)" - a charity event-turned-date-night for the couple. The pair, who served as co-chairs for Stand Up 2 Cancer N.Y.C.'s Standing Room Only event at Cipriani Wall Street, told People that the party was "sort of" a romantic outing. Then how would the actress define a real, quality date night? "Going to a nice dinner and not having to wake up at the crack of dawn with the kids," she said. "That's nice." Although the Twitch application will feature on the Xbox One’s dashboard upon launch, users will be unable to take advantage of the gameplay streaming feature until the early stages of 2014, Microsoft confirmed earlier today. Nevertheless, the dedicated app, which requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription to operate, will allow gamers to access the Twitch catalog to view content and, through the use of the Xbox One’s Snap feature, play games simultaneously from the get-go this Friday.
In a post over on the company’s blog, Twitch explained the reason behind the delay:
“We know that the ability to broadcast your Xbox One gameplay direct to Twitch is something you’re all very excited about. So are we! Microsoft is working hard to ensure that the Twitch broadcasting experience meets all of your expectations, and we’re looking forward to sharing more details with you all in the future.

“We didn’t get mad, we got smart,” HBO CEO Michael Fuchs said about hitting The Wall, looking back at HBO stalling in 1984 from the vantage of the early 1990s. Actually, a lot of the rank and file didn’t get mad or smart; we’d seen 125 of our friends and colleagues get shown the door when the company had suddenly flatlined after eight years of phenomenal growth, and what we got was scared.
But it’s to the credit of HBO’s execs that whatever anxieties they may have had, they showed no panic or even nervousness in public. Instead, they poured any concerns into energetically and immediately addressing the question of, “What do we do now?” The world we knew had changed and there was no going back to the Gold Rush days of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The company required a humongous...

Mogul to hive off entertainment and publishing assets but believes newspaper businesses will emerge stronger than ever
Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation will be split in half on Wednesday as the mogul hopes to build two new empires out of his vast portfolio of assets. It is likely to prove the octogenarian's final major corporate move, and once again he is betting he has seen an opportunity others have missed.
The profitable entertainment assets – including the 20th Century Fox movie studio and the Fox broadcast network in the Us – will form 21st Century Fox.
The company's publishing assets, including HarperCollins and its troubled newspaper division, will trade under the old News Corp name.
Shareholders have long pressed for a split, disenchanted with the returns from publishing, particularly newspapers, as the shift to digital readership eats into profits. Murdoch resisted but caved in after the phone-hacking scandal shook his company to its foundations,...
