Mike Flanagan is one of the most exciting names in horror right now, but his journey to getting there was a bit stop-and-go. He got his first taste of box office success with 2013's "Oculus," the filmmaker's well-received adaptation of his own short movie, "Oculus: Chapter 3 – The Man with the Plan." After that, Flanagan helmed three horror movies in rapid succession. Of the trio, one of them went directly to Netflix (the underrated home invasion thriller "Hush"), while another one of them spent several years floundering in limbo after its U.S. distributor, Relativity Media, declared bankruptcy ("Before I Wake").
The last of these three movies was 2016's "Ouija: Origin of Evil." For those who haven't seen it, "Origin of Evil" is a much better film than its risible subtitle would suggest. It's also vastly superior to 2014's "Ouija," a flash-in-the-pan Universal/Blumhouse hit that grossed more than 20 times its...

Bonnie Wright went from child actress to adult author and climate activist as she grew up, but her original fans still adore her.
Bonnie rose to fame for her role as Ginny Weasley in the world-famous Harry Potter movies.
Not only was she an iconic face in the Harry Potter films, but she also dated current Stranger Things heartthrob Jamie Campbell Bower for about three years from 2009-2012.
After getting her start in Harry Potter, she moved on star in a few independent films such as Before I Sleep, The Sea, and After the Dark, and even performed on stage.
She dipped her toes into directing as well, having graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with a degree in filmmaking.

James Rebhorn, one of the most prolific and recognizable American actors of the stage and screen, died on Friday at his New Jersey home. He was 65.
A familiar face for all film fans, Rebhorn spent many years honing his craft in the theatre before appearing in many of the biggest films and television series of the last 20 years. Although the actor was diagnosed with melanoma in 1992, he continued working heavily until last month, racking up 125 credits during 30 years in the business.
With a tall, gangly figure, Rebhorn often played characters with sleaze, power or a mix of both. He often portrayed politicians, police chiefs, strict fathers and lawyers, and never gave a dull performance. Among his most notable film roles are as Herbert Greenleaf in The Talented Mr. Ripley, secretary of defence Albert Nimziki in Independence Day and the mysterious Jim Feingold in The Game. Other film credits include parts in Meet the Parents,...
