Provocative, but little under the surface

Warning: Spoilers
"Serena" is a 12-minute short film from 3 years ago and one of a series of short films with titles of the female protagonist. Writer and director Rodrigo García also worked on some of the others. Jennifer Garner and Alfred Molina are somewhat famous names and not too often you find these in short movies. Anyway, this one here is from start to end a confession. A woman enters the confessional box and starts speaking about her sins. Apparently, she comes frequently to this place as the priest is very much annoyed by her already. It is unclear if she is insane or just provocative or just looking for attention as she keeps rambling on and, in the end, admits her sexual desires for the priest. A film that tries to be shocking, but sadly, there is not really that much substance to it. As a whole, not recommended, even if Molina is good as always. Maybe you'll enjoy this one more than I did if you actually like Jennifer Garner as an actress.
