Tonino describes what is obviously the film "Nosferatu" as they travel north in the car in a scene set in 1923. This would have been impossible as this classic vampire film was an unauthorized German version of Bram Stoker's "Dracula," and the author's widow had won a plagiarism judgment against the filmmakers. Most of the prints of the film were destroyed, and the few prints that escaped destruction were pursued by Mrs. Stoker. By the time a viable print reached the United States, it was 1929.
