A cure for insomnia?

Chloe is a young woman who is a bit directionless. She finds herself engaged in negotiations with immaterial beings who place brilliant ideas in peoples' minds. They are wondering why she hasn't done anything with the idea they planted in her some time ago.

This is a 20 minute short on Youtube, starring Karen Gillan as Chloe. Though it is nominally science fiction, it's actually a fairly dark comedy, and it's quite enjoyable on that basis (David Dastmalchian has a pretty funny sequence).

Ultimately, it has little point and doesn't really go anywhere, but perhaps it doesn't need to. It entertained me nevertheless.

I love Karen Gillan. Her acting in this is very good. But the writing nothing and annoying, nothing to contribute, no pay off. Not funny, not horror, not drama, not philosophical. What's the point?

The lighting and directing is annoying with blink-cuts and strobes, especially since most of us will watch this on our phones late at night or burnt-out in our office jobs.

Nick Kocher, man. I used to love his early Britanick stuff, but now I find him and his quote, work, annoying and bothersome. I really don't like who he's become as a writer or a person. I hate to attack his character like that, but dude, figure out how to entertain us again, please.
