Warning: Spoilers
Jess is having two separate Thanksgiving dinners because he parents are separated. First to come is her mom (Jamie Lee Curtis) followed closely by her dad (Rob Reiner) who is early. Her dad decides to stay and Cece sees that she is planning a parent trap for her parents to get back together. Jess accidentally brings up the fact that her dad was cheated on by Catherine. Schmidt's cousin comes to visit for Thanksgiving. Jess plays some music and her parents seem fine talking to each other. Jess then gets Cece and Nick to help her go through with the parent trap. Winston comes up with an idea to see who truly is Schmidt. Nick has a beer with Jess's dad while Cece helps her mother look better for her father. Jess then enlists Nick to hit on her mother. Winston makes fun of the Schmidt's by getting them to do a lot of funny things. Jess's father sees through the trap and it has to stop. When Nick sprays Jess's dad the two go to clean up and end up making out in the bathroom. Jess sees it twice and seems so happy. When Schmidt thinks he is to big for the game round two starts. After round two Cece tells them the maximum test is kissing a man. While making a speech Jess tells everyone of her pure joy. They tell her it was just a hook up and nothing more. A few confessions come out and Jess ruins the turkey. Jess's comes to visit her telling her if she ends up alone they can go all Grey Gardens. At the end Schmidt thinks he is the real one when he kisses Winston who freaks Schmidt out. Jess is told to do no more parent traps but her parents end up continuing at the end. Funny episode even though the Schmidt stuff was really bad. Reiner and Curtis were both very funny and brought a lot of Jess to their characters.
