The film starts off by introducing us to a uniformed police officer on his Dailey rout, all seems well and normal for him as he passes by several locations in what seems to be a routine day of dealing with drinking minors, a convince store who employed some one who may have provided the minors with alcohol and passing conversations with another officer that works in his precinct. Things quickly take a sharp turn when he comes across a truck that's plates are registered to a missing person, this is where we meet a strange man who's says they he "goes by many names" when asked by the officer why he was driving a vehicle that belonged to a missing person he simply replied with "it came into my possession". At this point the officer requests that he puts his hands behind his back to be handcuffed, the man turns and quickly kills this officer, drags him away and begins to sing. He steps off camera and the sound of wet chopping can be heard, he then Re appears now fully dressed in the police officers uniform and steps into his cruiser, starting it and slowly backing away from the scene, the front camera of the cruiser revealing the decapitated corps of the officer left on the steps of a local church. That's all I'm going to touch on when it comes to spoilers, I just wanted to set the tone of the film. Written by Sam hensley jr. and directed by randy Ser starring Shuler Hensley, Cruiser is a none stop thrill ride shot in the style of found footage through go pros, police car mounted cameras, cell phone and surveillance footage. This was clearly a low budget movie with a lot of heart and dedication put into it, the singing madman is a hard not to love antagonist.this movie is a very tense and fast paced movie that once it picks up it does not stop until the credits roll and leaves you as the audience to pick up the pieces and draw you're own conclusions as to what and why everything that had just transpired before you're eyes happened. My personal experience and thoughts on this film are as follows. The pacing of the movie kept me locked In and captivated by what was happening in front of me, now this is not a hard core gore flick but does manage to disturb in other ways through violent images and cleverly timed camera cuts and angles. I honestly really enjoyed this movie and would recommend it to any other found footage aficionados out there. From begging to end I enjoyed cruiser as I'm sure you will to.
