A Very Enjoyable Final Chapter
atlasmb2 March 2023
This third sequel to the "Wedding Veil" trilogy is the best of the three. It follows the story of Tracy (Alison Sweeney) and her husband Nick (Victor Webster) as they honeymoon in Greece.

The fact that this episode was filmed on location in Rhodes, Greece is a change from the preceding two. It may be part of the reason this story stands out, though the scenic beauty is not an overwhelming factor. It is narrative and characterization that drive the quality of a story.

The happy couple encounters the owners of a small inn and other locals who add color. The Wedding Veil legend continues via the woman who runs the inn and a guest. Her brother's lack of culinary talent spurs Nick to recognize that he misses time in the kitchen. And a young boy draws the attention of Tracy and Nick due to his personality and his artistic talent.

This final follow-up to the original stories feels totally different from the others and is a breath of fresh air.

And the adventure continues
MickyG3338 March 2023
7.8 stars.

This one is also tied with the best of the Wedding Veil series. I hope they continue with the adventures, because these movies are a true gem of the Hallmark universe. What makes this one just as good as the two featuring Autumn Reeser is the actual journey and landscape, and the variety. Our main couple goes to Greece to finally take their honeymoon after a few years of being married. They meet some wonderful people there, including siblings who run a hotel b&b, and there is the guy and his mother, and the young boy named Leo, who is quite endearing I might add. "The Wedding Veil Journey" does not lack for beautiful scenery, ocean beaches, wonderful towns and cityscapes... the food aspect is tantalizing, and the romance is ever present as the lead characters continue with the marital fun, and the new couple is interesting and lively. This film has all the desired elements wrapped up in one glorious finale of the 6 Veil installments. They must make more of these, please, please, pretty please.

Veil #6 is a must see, if you are wondering whether to continue with the series after the first few, take my advice and stick with it. The last two (#5 and #6) are the best. In case they make #7 and more, then that means #6 is not the last one, and that would put a smile on my face.

Nice but a couple of issues
VetteRanger22 January 2023
Here Allison Sweeny and her husband have hit a questionable patch in their marriage because they're both working too much and spend little time together. So they decided to take the time, take their "not done yet" honeymoon, and after spinning a globe wind up in Greece.

There's an excuse to take the veil with them, of course. Everything starts out okay, but then her two friends show up? On her honeymoon? The honeymoon expressly designed to provide alone time for her and her husband? Not only did that not ring true, but if it had I'd have considered it incredibly rude and inappropriate. But it happened because the formula for this series required it, not because it actually made sense.

The romance is a rich woman's grandson and the sister of the brother/sister owners of the B&B. They don't spend NEARLY enough screen time on that story.

Another subplot is a young orphan Greek boy who draws great pictures ... mostly in pencil. They spend way too MUCH screen time on that one, and the outcome is utterly predictable from early on.

For me, an okay watch but definitely not a rewatch. Huge series fans, please don't hammer me for that. LOL.

Just enjoy it!

Ok, yes, there are things in this last of the second trilogy that should not happen IRL but they do here. Suspension of disbelief, people. Allison Sweeney as Tracey lets her heart shine through more in this one. There are several subplots-just go with it. Nobody should have their friends along on their honeymoon but by this point the ladies are basically sisters under the skin. The husbands are sweet enough to just go with it. Subplot with Leo- is he not the cutest little actor? The main thing is ask yourself if you want a hard hitting true life drama or a little escapism. For me, real life has been a little too hard hitting and I love the escape. Of course it's not realistic! It's a Hallmark movie. Beautiful scenery, a pretty good story, good looking people (so sue me, I like the looks and fashion). The worst thing is now I want to go to Greece!

Another good one
Jackbv12322 January 2023
This franchise keeps giving us decent movies. It is probably because the 3 couples are played by reliable actors. I've always loved Allison Sweeny. There was one interesting and daring wardrobe choice for her.

This is another movie which is mostly predictable with a low level of tension or conflict. The ultimate arc is pretty obvious. I feel like Colin and Tessa's story gets shortchanged a bit in favor of Leo's which is strange given that Colin and Tessa are the object of the title's legend. Still, it is a nice little story and there is absolutely breathtaking scenery. There is something about the Greek islands.

Best of the bunch.

Warning: Spoilers
All of the wedding veil movies are good. Great casts and fun premise. This. This is the best of them all, in my opinion. The 2 leads are hands down two of my all- time favorite actors - Victor Webster and Allison Sweeney elevate any movie. The plot in this installment has such depth. Not only does it have our next veil pairing , but also the story of Leo and his future. What a lovely addition to the overall story. What a great little actor Che Grant is! Very engaging and believable. All of the cast is strong. The pace is good and the scenery is gorgeous. And......it looks as if there may be more sequels? Yes, please.

Not my favorite of the series
catrine-4884529 January 2023
I always enjoyed Alison Sweeney especially in "murder she baked". I wish they would do some more of those. I enjoy watching these except, I found this one a little bit dumb. They never had a honeymoon and never get to spend time together , so her friends end up crashing their honeymoon. I don't know about you but I would be a little upset. I also didn't think they had chemistry together . I did enjoy the other stories more and I always liked Lacey Chabert.

Also, what was the reason to bring the veil with them? Kind of silly. On a positive note, the scenery in Greek is beautiful and I enjoyed that the most.

Give it a shot and judge for yourself but this was my least favorite one . Although still watchable.

I loved it!
TheOvereducated13 February 2023
I loved it! I watched the movie on the Hallmark channel the other day and I really enjoyed it! It is a lovely story with a sweet message and solid acting from the cast. The characters were fun to watch. I really liked the actress playing Pen (Penelope), who helps them find a new hotel/inn. She was very funny in her scene at the beginning, I wanted to see more of her in the story! I also really liked the child actor playing Leo! Lastly, Greece's scenery on the island of Rhodes is gorgeous. The location added to the effectiveness of the romance and it also made me want to visit the island again!

Who appreciates their friends crashing their honeymoon?!
CranberriAppl3 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
If there was ever a scenario where your friends should not just show up. Aren't Avery and Emma new mommies? I have nothing against the ladies' friendship and bond, but the constant picking up and going wherever one of their crises happens to be gives co-dependent much more than "I'll be there for you." (I typed that while singing the Friends theme). Does anyone ever talk to their friends on their honeymoon? I didn't? In the first three movies, it was tolerable, but these are married women now. Why would Paolo and Peter be ok with this constantly? How was this any different from Tracy being upset that Nick was cooking ("working") in Greece? Nick saying Emma and Avery were there before him is exactly how mothers-in-law end up in the middle of marriages. Also let it be known that Emma flew to Greece for Tracy but never once flew to Italy to support her husband in the last movie. Insanity!

Honestly, the first three movies were absolute gold for Hallmark. Definitely their best series of films since the Vineyard movies (I'm still kind of mad we didn't get a Baby in the Vineyard for Frankie and Nate) and the Wedding March films. By far their best movies of 2022. But the next three WV movies are poor in comparison. It's like they (maybe) didn't expect the success of the three and just threw these together. First w/Avery and Peter being a spoiled and dramatic couple, and Paolo and Emma having problems where they (really Emma bc Paolo was trying) seemed to forget how they met and came to be in the first place, and now Tracy and Nick, who are my favorite couple in this series, having personality transplants as well.

I found it hard to believe that Tracy and Nick did not make time for their honeymoon. Waiting three years does not seem like something they would allow to happen given the last movie and what they went through to be together. Granted, Nick had a new restaurant when they got together, but three years? Hold on, didn't they marry after dating a year, so maybe it's been four years? And after that lack of communication and connection that hasn't been dealt with....a preteen child? (more on that later).

Tracy and Nick are my favorite bc somehow, even in Hallmarkland, their relationship and conversations seem way more grounded and realistic for their age group. They have the most mature (not old, but grown up) chemistry. I loved their movie the most (Emma/Paolo being second bc duh...Italy). I've been watching these HM movies forever and I'm only in my 30s, but after seeing so many, I appreciate the more to-the-point conversations about what each character wants. I also loved that in the first movie, they were both very clear that they were dating (even if Tracy got cold feet). Too often in these movies, the characters are clearly dating and interested, but refuse to even be direct about it. I loved that these two were not that and that they kissed before the end. I found it weird that the other two movies didn't do that when arguably their relationships developed over a longer period than Tracy's. I love angst, but angst that makes sense. All three continually blindside their husbands with whatever big decision they make (after ONLY talking to their two friends) and the husbands just accept it and eventually agree. The only decision that made sense in this was Nick deciding that he wanted to take a step back with business side of his restaurants to be in the kitchen more. That seemed like a perfectly reasonable realization after some time away from it all and after realizing it was affecting his marriage. Tracy's "void" was completely out of nowhere and iirc Nick even acknowledged her sudden change.

I also LOVE my kiddos...however, I recognize that not every couple wants children and that's ok! T/N weren't the "ewww kids...gross," types of child-free characters, so it was fine! Tracy and Nick can't even make time for each other, but a preteen child that would have to get used to a new country and culture? After a week??? Because that's what Tracy wanted? As soon as I saw Leo, I knew. As soon as he said "he loves New York!" I knew even more. Listen, I prefer if movies don't make "statements" and get on soapboxes all the time, but there would have been absolutely nothing wrong with T/N agreeing that their lives were fulfilled without children. IIRC, I think EMMA also had the same hesitations and we saw how that turned out, so why repeat it with Tracy? I could even see them being more inclined to do youth-centered cooking and art programs. Or even sponsor Leo from the States. It's almost like Nick and Tracy needing to reconnect plus the next veil match wasn't enough (it was). Her deciding Leo needed a better life (essentially strong arming her way) was just like EMMA working it out for her Italian student in Unveiled. What is with them using Peter for everything? I usually find the movies with adoption storylines endearing (Christmas Town, Holly & Ivy, A Mrs. Miracle Christmas, also a movie I saw as a kid in the 90s The Boy Who Loved Christmas. North to Home was also good), but for Tracy to just decide that she knew what was best for Leo put me off. I think she and Nick had exactly two convos about it: when she decided she wanted it and when he agreed. They could have cut out some of subplots or unnecessary visits from Avery and Emma and used that time for N and T to develop more as a couple and work through whether or not a preteen child was really what they wanted. IDK, it really felt like Leo was for Tracy until the point in the movie where he had to start interacting with Nick....since Nick was going to become his dad.

Also the awkward next veil couple is here with Tessa and the Dalton guy, just like with Emma's assistant Lily and Carlo Marks. I truly did not expect these stories to mimic each other this much. Is it me, or does the legend of the veil become less so if the veil is being manipulated? Again, I find the vibe and relationship of Tracy and Nick to be much more unique than the other two couples, so this was annoying. Such a romantic setting and I really expected more of them together. It was a honeymoon after all! Even a montage would have worked. Also, I appreciate them technically incorporating Nick more into this sequel and giving him his own side story ONSCREEN, unlike with Peter and Paolo, but Xander not realizing the difference in "his" food was silly after two dinners. I found it ridiculous that a native Greek could not identify the missing ingredient in a GREEK family dish, but Nick could.

Loved Alison's wardrobe in this (she was glowing) and I love Victor Webber. He's been a fave since a baseball movie he did with Candace. I loved the Matchmaker series as well. They have great chemistry, Alison and Victor, and I believe them as a couple! The scenery and location is BEAUTIFUL (one scene had a gorgeous sunset I want to paint). I always love when HM does location movies (no offense Canada), but that only goes so far when the script is meh. I started FF every time the Leo plot came around. I missed the reason why T took the veil to Greece (edit: taking to Nick's sis in Spain), but I guess it has to costar in all the movies no matter what. It really bugged me that Emma and Avery showed up on their honeymoon as if it was the most normal thing ever, particularly since Tracy expressed they were having trouble connecting. More than any of the other pop up visits in all the movies, this one showed a supreme lack of boundaries.

I'm not the type to say they shouldn't milk it, but if they do more, I'm checked out. But hey, if they want to try it again with a necklace (see the ending), have at it. Although again, does it not take away from how special the veil is supposed to be? I would rate the follow ups in this order: Inspiration, Journey, and Expectations wayyyy behind in another time zone. I let these movies linger on my dvr way too long, and now I'm glad I've seen them all and can move on. I'll stick with the first three. I watch Lifetime, HM, and GAC, etc so I know what I'm getting with tv movies, but I had higher expectations (ugh sorry...unavoidable) for the second trilogy and they weren't worth the wait. 6/10.

I love the Wedding Veil series and hope it continues.
cgvsluis30 January 2023
This is the sixth film in the Wedding Veil series and it may not be my favorite, but set in Greece and starting Alison Sweeney and Victor Webster, it is still a must see.

This film revisits Tracy and Nick our hard working New York couple who three years post wedding have yet to take their honeymoon. These two detail oriented driven work-a-holics agree to not only go on honeymoon, but to allow fate to decide where...which is how they end up on a Greek island at the inn of the worst cook on the island and his sister. While Tracy and Nick struggle to spend alone time together, a romance (thanks to the veil) starts to blossom between one of their Greek hosts and a fellow guest who is a British gentleman visiting Greece his grandmother, and Tracy becomes fascinated by this young local boy with a gift for sketching (Leo).

Beautiful backdrop for this story which gets crashed by our other two Wedding Veil ladies, Avery and Emma. I am not sure Nick and Tracy's quality time question is fully answered, but they do eventually get on the same page about Leo.

I love this series and I really hope they do more...my favorite part is that at the heart of the series is a loving and supportive friendship of three college girlfriends. Don't get me wrong, I like the romances...but I like that the story is rooted in this friendship.

Recommend for all those romantics, like me out there.

You Ruined the Wedding Veil Trilogy with a Horrible Script
mwa-187921 February 2023
I am a big fan of the original Wedding Veil Trilogy and was excited there would be more. Unfortunately, the next 3 were a big letdown, totally losing the charm and magic of the first 3. The stories didn't connect to one another. The last movie "Journey" was the weakest of the 2nd trilogy having many plot holes and a weak script. Even the interesting idea of having a honeymoon did not go anywhere that made sense. The girls showing up on her honeymoon was beyond the pale. It was laughable that Tracey got mad at Nick for trying to help the chef, yet she can't refrain from calling her 2 girlfriends on their honeymoon! By this last movie, it feels like the three friends are too codependent. The stories just did not make sense. Lady Dalton's back story could have been interesting, but it too felt forced and contrived when she offers up her trove of rare letters to fund an orphan she hardly knows. But, here again there are many unanswered questions, e.g., -- " Why is this wealthy woman staying at this rather tacky hotel?" "Why do Nick and Tracey stay there, considering the inedible food?" Worst of all was the tag at the end - with the antique dealer giving the girls the same line as Hilda in the first movie. This makes it feel like Hilda was just a con, and this was just a line used by antique dealers around the world when meeting gullible tourists. It was a poor choice for an ending, and not a good cliffhanger which is what I think the writer was going for. The three original Wedding Veil Trilogy scripts were smart and connected to one another. Shame on Hallmark for ruining the Trilogy with movies lacking spark and creativity.

The Wedding Veil Journey
studioAT30 July 2023
By a mile Allison Sweeney's outing in the first 'The Wedding Veil' trilogy was the weakest, and I didn't think she was strong enough to carry the plotline was asked to deliver.

This 'Journey' film is a vast improvement, and is up there with Autumn Reeser's two films as being the best out of the six.

I think the reason for this is that Sweeney is better now she's not having to play out all the romantic comedy/meet cute stuff and can actually play out a story with a bit more drama.

The story holds up too, which is more than the second Lacey Chabert film did, and there's some new characters introduced too who can support proceedings. Jane Asher in a Hallmark film - that's new.

Overall, I certainly think this is a good way to round out the second trilogy and I'd urge all involved to stop while they are just about ahead.

My ranking of the trilogies is as follows:

1st

Autumn Reeser Lacey Chabert Allison Sweeney

2nd

Autumn Reeser Allision Sweeney Lacey Chabert.

Why change their characters so much?
centava9921 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Like many others have said, I enjoyed the first three films. The second trilogy has gotten weaker with each film, culminating in this stinker. My first thought was if they can't find time to have dinner together, how is it they can suddenly drop everything for a multi-day honeymoon?

I identified most with Tracy's character in the series, and respected the couple's choice to be child-free. This plot with Leo was incredibly predictable and also completely out of character for them. They never resolve their "we need to fix things together" discussion and now want to bring a kid into it?? They don't say it, but I got a big whiff of Tracy cutting her hours way back to be a 'proper' 'mom' to Leo, while Nick gets to keep spending all his time at the restaurants, just now cooking.... The idea of a woman being incomplete without marriage-family is just disappointing, especially with Alison Sweeney as an exec producer; I expected more from her.

I'm giving this film 4 stars for the scenery, Alison's wardrobe and the cute sub-plot of the Brit and inn owner. The rest is meh.

Hallmark stuffed up the order f the story....
Australian123 November 2023
... Or lax IMDB did.

Now I watched the alleged 6th, before seeing the Expectations and Inspiration!

Now I can't simply state a fact without trying to find 600 words to say it!

Ok. The actress they picked for Lady Dalton is a pain to look at! Yeah, I know, not everyone is beautiful, least of all me since I am an old man now!

Tracy isn't the greatest either, she has Hemsworth's eyes, and the parentheses on either side of her mouth.... But I must say, seeing the beautiful landscapes makes up for it.

As always, Hallmark kind of wastes a lot of time during the film, then rushes the ending without any of "what happened" when they got back home to USA.

I don't have that problem with other movies, be it Mission Impossible, Indian Jones, Fast and Furious... Anyway, that's my opinion.

Throw out the veil
kirkendog3 February 2023
The best thing about this movie was the location, a rare movie not filmed in Canada makes these better, even if they have their own weak moments. It also allows for a reduction in forced diversity, which this network has gone completely overboard with the last few years.

Deducted 5 pts on the girls having to come to the honeymoon of their friend & him being okay with it, what a joke that they felt this was necessary, they talk all the time on their laptops.

The Veil series had potential but IMO they killed it with the 3 new ones, just stick with the main couples & their life, with the occasional chat w/their overbearing friends. We don't need other couples & their relationships, put that in a new movie.

Don't crash a country then treat the people horribly.
speirto5 July 2023
I somewhat enjoyed the other films but I found this one to be quite insulting to the people of Greece. They cast the Greek people in a very negative light and generally seemed bored to even be in Greece at all. First of all, the lady tried to get them to their accommodations was treated as being shady with another purpose. They called it a 'shakedown'. The orphan boy was initially treated as a wily scoundrel. His headmaster got a heap of American virtue signalling. The girl at the restaurant was accused of stealing the veil more than once to find her own love interest. And by the way, you do not put an antique wedding veil on a plastic hanger with no cover over your door. Even if the lace is obviously machine laser cut. Rolls eyes. AND, the American chef had to teach a local Greek guy how to make Greece's national dish. Quite the holier than though attitude, especially when you consider the Italian movie, where the Italian families and their culture were treated so respectfully. The only redeeming quality is that they filmed it in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Veil.
TxMike17 September 2023
This is the sixth of the "Wedding Veil" Hallmark movies, all released in 2022 and 2023. Will it be the final one? I suppose we will just wait and see. My wife and I have been watching them, mainly on DVD from our public library. We enjoy them as cute and clean entertainment.

This one focuses on Tracy and Nick who have been married now for three years but still haven't had a proper honeymoon. They both are so busy with their respective careers they may go days communicating with post-it notes. So they plan a honeymoon, to an out-of-the-way Greek spot. Plus, they need to take along the veil for an unrelated reason. That comes in handy when a British fellow shows up and gets attracted to the young lady working at the resort.

But a bigger story element is young Leo, and orphan of about 10 or 11 who is studying art in a local school. He also runs and has aspirations of running for Greece in the Olympics some day. Tracy and Nick take a keen interest in him and make plans to help him in ways they could not have expected.

Overall a nicely entertaining movie with some good relationship themes, and of course nice scenery.
