The founder and owner of Lucas Oil Products, cable network Mavtv, Lucas Cattle Company and the naming rights to the Indianapolis Colts’ Stadium Lucas Oil Stadium has teamed on the entertainment venture with the professional racecar driver, actor and producer.
Esx Entertainment will develop, package, finance and produce a slate of high-end, star-driven commercial projects telling “inspiring and purpose-driven stories.”
The company is supported by a media fund backed by Lucas and under the stewardship of Afshar will get involved in three to six film, TV and digital projects a year of varying budgets. Esx will also put up P&A.

Trevor Donovan is heading for Amish country. “90210” vet Donovan will star in the upcoming Up TV movie “Love Finds You in Charm,” a follow-up to this year's “Love Finds You in Sugarcreek,” which was Up's highest-rated original movie in 2014. Summer is about to be over, meaning the summer movie season is coming to a close. But you can still get in one last hurrah with the new film “Born to Race: Fast Track.” The film is now available on iTunes; if you want a physical copy, you’ll have to wait until Sept. 9, when the film comes out on DVD, Blu-ray and On Demand from Anchor Bay Entertainment.
