- Kenan Thompson takes an internship at a major corporation without realizing that the youth-focused program has hired a dozen children to be his coworkers.
- In an effort to investigate his future career opportunities, Kenan Thompson takes an internship at Old Navy. As he approaches the ON offices on his first day, Kenan discovers that the youth-focused internship program has hired a dozen children aged 6-9. Skeptical, Kenan and the rest of the Lil Interns head straight to HR. The HR director onboards the interns and plays a "Red Light/Green Light" game to explain office-appropriate behavior. Kenan struggles to keep up with corporate best practices.
On the second day, Kenan and the Lil Interns experience the finance department. An already dry subject puts the interns to sleep when the CFO quizzes them on a fun game of finance acronyms. The Lil Interns are given a critical financial decision to make: buy necessary staples or an unnecessary ice cream truck. The Lil Interns decide predictably in favor of ice cream.
After finance, the Lil Interns head to the design department. The head of design takes the group through a creative "trend funnel" fashion exercise. Every intern puts forth a valid "trend funnel" except Kenan who ends up wearing his work. In the end, Kenan sneaks off for another shot at being artistic.
The fourth day of the internship takes the group to the Marketing department as the Executive Creative Director grills the interns on how to get attention. After continually distracting the group, Kenan dances for an embarrassing live social media post.
Next, Kenan and the Lil Interns visit a fashion retail location to take on two challenges. While struggling to fold clothes for the first time, the interns must handle a difficult customer before racing to change two mannequins. Changing mannequins proves to be quite the task before devolving into a surprise lesson in anatomy.
As the first annual Lil Intern program concludes, Kenan solicits feedback from the interns before offering some in return. Emotions are expressed around the bonds formed during the program before Kenan gifts each kid with a golden "KT" necklace. Word gets out that Kenan held unauthorized intern peer reviews. He uses this moment to make his escape.
