You might recognize Clara Mamet from her ABC show The Neighbors, which is about keeping up with the Joneses—if the Joneses were aliens. (Much like Keeping Up with the Kardashians, except Neighbors is scripted.) Or you might recognize her because she looks quite a bit like her sister Zosia Mamet, who plays Shoshanna on Girls. (Yep, that makes her another daughter of David Mamet.)
But soon, you may recognize her from movies as well. Mamet just wrote, directed and starred in her first film, Two-Bit Waltz, an autobiographical jaunt that features William H. Macy (Fargo), Rebecca Pigeon (Red), and...

We're just all kinds of thrilled to announce that Drew Daywalt, award-winning horror filmmaker and resident FEARnet blogger, has signed a deal with producer Eric B. Fleischman of Ebf Productions (Ritual, Two-Bit Waltz) to direct The Hurting Man, a supernatural horror feature based on his own original screenplay. If that news isn't awesome enough on its own, we should add that another genre luminary, Larry Fessenden (Habit, Wendigo, The Last Winter) will serve as Executive Producer on the film. In case you've been... I don't know, on Mars or something over the past few years, Drew burst onto the horror scene in 2007 with his award-winning short film Bedfellows, and since then he has directed dozens of acclaimed short films under the banner of Daywalt Fear Factory, episodes of the MTV horror-comedy series Death Valley, the webseries Camera Obscura and original programming for Tony Valenzuela's horror-centric channel BlackBox TV, and much more.

Today we have a horrifically special Valentine's Day announcement for you. Horror writer/director Drew Daywalt (Bedfellows, Death Valley, Camera Obscura) will be directing the horror feature film The Hurting Man which is based on his own script. The movie will unveil a story which was ripped from one of Daywalt's most terrifying childhood fears.
The Hurting Man begins production this fall and Larry Fessenden is attached as Executive Producer.
Daywalt, Fleischman & Fessenden are not commenting on cast members yet, but promise that something amazing (including some big genre names) is in store for horror fans as well as everyone else interested in the art of storytelling.
While little else is known about the project at this point, we have been informed from sources close to the project that the terrifying boogeyman in this film will inspire iconic Halloween costumes for years to come.
