I was a bit worried about this episode based on the plot synopsis, but actually it grows into itself and tells two good stories.

Other than perhaps some plot repetition and not developing some of the other characters, I really can't see why this show did not go futher.

Anything that pairs Anne and Ryan up together tends to work, as does any storyline teaming him and Lauren (Laura Benanti has been great in this show).

With again a lovely mix of comedy and pathos, I thought this was another stellar episode of the show.

Yes, the humour has grown broader as its gone on and it's lost a bit of what made it unique, but I've really enjoyed this show on the whole thus far.

Warning: Spoilers
Anne and Ryan together is always the best pairing on the show and while they were only together at the end of the episode it was still a bittersweet episode as both decided to move on together letting their wedding rings fly away. The episode was all about betting but that was OK and nothing really special that the show has done. Anne was funny with her new girlfriend and the new library she has found which seems to be full of single lesbians. The conclusion of the betting storyline was also just average even though it gave Lauren something to do. A weak episode of the show with the crazy portion of Ryan that I don't usually like.

EPISODE GRADE: C (MVP: Julie White)
