An Episode Ending for the Ages!
felinicat-768436 April 2023
Love, love, love this series and will watch it again and again, especially seasons 2 and 3. The scenery, costumes and especially the acting are top notch. Season 3 is a love letter to Jane Austen, honoring her other beloved stories with touching references throughout. The soundtrack is perfect, bringing out the emotions of each touching scene perfectly. This episode's ending in particular will go down as one of the most romantic, heart bursting period drama scenes ever. Perfectly acted, directed and produced - we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful scene to stir our souls. Brace yourself!

Sanditon - Destined To Be A Classic Mini-Series!
awhitman-867416 April 2023
This series is destined to be regarded as a classic right up there with BBC's Pride & Prejudice 1995 with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle, which set the bar very high! Jane Austen who only wrote 11 chapters of her book, Sanditon before she died at age 41, clearly intended to write a novel that was very different from her other books because one of her main characters is a West Indian heiress and the central male characters are entrepreneurs instead of titled or wealthy landowners! The series has a great ensemble cast, supported by excellent scripts, directors, stunning costumes, sets, and lighting! While all of S3 is the roller coaster ride we didn't know we wanted, THIS episode, particularly the ending, will surprise you and move you to tears! Keep a box of tissues nearby. It's glorious!

Exquisite!

Sanditon Season 3 is a masterpiece written by Justin Young and team; and brilliantly performed by Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Rose Williams and an ensemble cast of superb actors. Episode 3 aired a week ago and is the stuff of great drama that lasts eons of time for generations to savor. The ending on windswept cliffs finds Lloyd-Hughes as Alexander Colbourne finding his voice and some of languages most beautiful words. All I will say is "if only". It leaves our hearts bereft; but it's good to know Ep. 3 is only halfway through the entire season. If you like Regency drama you will LOVE Sanditon Season 3.
