My overall rating of "Veep"'s Season 2: 5/10
Catherine has been annoying and boring in pretty much every episode she's been in (outside of "Signals", maybe?), and here she drags down another one. The "uncomfortable personal life of a public official" isn't even comedic, it's just... there... Also, I'm not sure I appreciate what they're doing with Amy - while giving her more non-strange-facial-expression-based material is good, it's annoying how the implication is: "No, you _have_ to date! Didn't you hear your family and colleagues?!" (and why does the latter group even get a voice?..) Also, it seems they're setting up to an Amy-Dan romance, which is... unnecessary?.. and stupid?.. There are also something like 4 continuity errors that I caught, which is a lot even by this show's low standards, but who's counting except for me, I guess, certainly not the show's continuity department.
And humour in general has been weak, minus a couple of moments, esp. by Gary.
