Warning: Spoilers
What might be considered an unnecessary dog leg to Adam's storyline actually works well, largely because of the decent character work on the Braxtons.Brax's sense of betrayal and sense of guilt that the man he saw as the family's saviour is willing to use his brother as a disposable pawn has never really been addressed and it's finally brought to the front here, as Heath lays a large guilt trip on him, leaving him determined to make up for what's happened.

Meanwhile, we get the explanation for why Spencer and Maddy are on the run. It's fairly bog standard, with only the twist of Spencer's family being the well-off ones being a nice subversion.Despite this, it's not as black and white as Harvey seems to think, although Roo's handling of the situation also needs work. It's good to see Alf more involved, although the references to his and Roo's past are slightly baffling.

The Walker stuff is slightly frustrating, with the interesting idea of things getting on top of Sid kind of being buried by the ever dull Romeo losing yet another job and April being reduced to holding up packets of biscuits. This family really needs to be streamlined. Then maybe there'd be room for Sasha in their episodes.
