Bad actress meet lesser bad actress
DulcedeKeche20 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Kelly meets Adela and here's what might be the worst storyline of the show.. yes one of the writer thought it would be a good idea. Pity face Kelly try to bring Adela down with her, so we have to endure more airtime of bad drama, nostalgia and complaining.. brace yourself to press fastforward. Fourth season seems to have a lot a great thing coming forward but cross your finger, that they will not give too much place to Daddy's girl. Please, give us a new Molly Cobb or Daniel Poole.. but this is painful seeing her taking gradually a leading role in the show.. she cannot handle even handle a secondary role. Adela was doing well season 3 overall.. but be ready for her downfall if she kept her new bestfriend.

Probably my favourite episode of the Mars saga.

The show is called For All Mankind, and this episode really highlights the differences in the way mankind perceives differences in the wealth classes. Sure it makes sense that veterans such as captains and commanders should be afforded more luxury due to their obvious amount of time dedicated in their field of work, but about the fresh blood? Are they not entitled to similar remuneration?

This episode draws contrasts in ways that seem natural and helps flesh out the newly introduced character who is probably my favorite in this season.

The episode is still riddled with filler but that is to expected when the writers aren't sure what they're doing.

May this season be the last

Yeah, this season is gonna be bad. The OG cast is almost gone, and who's left are just bad actors playing even worse characters. Like who really cares about Aleida's storyline? She acts like an entitled person, has no respect to those in charge, walks off whenever she feels like it - why am I supposed to when slightly care about her?

Or Ed's daughter? That drunk performance is so cringe. Had to fast forward to the next scene.

The last thing that grinds my gears in this episode is the Moscow sequence. They got all the props correct down to the coffee tin she uses. Kudos to that. But the way they show the city and its people is so-o-o-o cliche and stereotypical. Could've done a lot better if they weren't so hard on pushing the agenda.

Crashing into the crater of mediocrity

Like so many good shows, by the time they hit the fourth season the showrunners and producers are focused on new projects and are just phoning in their notes.

For All Mankind is terribly banal now.

Every action is predictable as basic physics, the science is shoddy with a lack of the aforementioned physics, plot holes you can fly a Saturn V through, meaningless montages or ones that bang you over the head with some idea that was already in the plot, and on and on.

At the beginning of this series, there was something real beneath it all. It seemed grounded in a vast, plausible history, but now?

It's as small and cheesy as Ilya's speakeasy with its four customers.
