This is the only edition where Chris Tarrant appears first in the end credits - in all other editions Lenny Henry is given top billing.
Alexei Sayle was never entirely comfortable with appearing on OTT, something evident from his material, where he openly expresses his disdain during some of his stand up routines. Yet his real feelings about the show were also expressed in his 2016 autobiography "Thatcher Stole My Trousers".
Among the misgivings expressed by Sayle were: "What was clear to me was that the chaotic, throw-it-together approach of Saturday morning TV could not be applied to a late-night show, but while I could see this nobody else apparently could.
At first I said I'd take part in some of the filmed sketches but the quality of the writing was so low that I changed my mind and refused to appear in any more, insisting that I'd only do my own separate stand-up bits.
It did not make me happy to be uncooperative. The rest of the cast were basically decent, friendly fellow performers who found my attitude perplexing. As far as they were concerned all they wanted to do was entertain people in an unconfrontational way and make money."

A regular feature of OTT were specially recorded videos with the cast re-enacting what they regarded as "tasteless" songs.
