In each episode, the women approach complex projects that rival those undertaken by their male counterparts in order to prove they have what it takes to run a female-dominated car shop.—Velocity
- "All Girls Garage" is a TV show on the now Motor Trend network with its first season premiering on March 3, 2012 on then Velocity. The premise of this reality show is about the girls showing great aptitudes on how to repair and upgrade selected vehicles. It's a great show showing three girls doing these projects which are real. Real in the way that their knowledge and efforts on projects from engine removal to simple tuning is actual not being staged. Each episode they show enthusiasm and aptitude about the projects they do each week. The synergy between the cast members is amicable but for regular watchers it looks strained. On other reality fix up shows the cast members seem to enjoy their mutual friendships and put on a more pleasing show with good interaction.
Sarah Lateiner aka nickname "Bogi," being in Hungary for one year as an exchange student her friend called her that all the time. Bogi, is a certified mechanic and a television personality. She was born on December 15, 1977, in Flushing, Queens in a middle-class family. Liking school, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in just three years from Oberlin College with a double major in Women's Studies and Pre-Law and a minor in Politics. Being 40 something old automotive expert and spent most of her childhood growing in North Jersey in a small town called Montclair. Bogi, jumps into each project with vigor and energy and is a true butter-face character with a busty look that that the director plays too. Remember men are the target audience with "All Girls Garage," not women surprisingly. She is found most shows wearing tight clingy shirts usually black with the occasional cleavage shot. She owns her own shop in Central Phoenix, Arizona, 180 Degrees Automotive and is a successful business woman with a net worth of close to $5,000,000 in 2019. Pretty impressive.
Christy is beautiful sports fanatic lady, trained dancer and the shows real "looker," of the slim with a height of 5 ft 2. Danced with the NBA, also the Detroit Pistons Dance Team 'Automotion' and then she performed for the MISL Dance Team. She delivers great communications and information with the viewers of this show. She covered Motocross Racing for SPEED and Fox Sports 1, Off-Road Truck Racing for NBC Sports Network, Supercross, Monster Jam, Flat Track Racing, and even the XGames on ESPN and ABC. Christy does a good job as well but appears to just do what is required of her on set. There is really no warm and fuzzy interactions between the girls. She is well known for other transportation gigs like the Barrett-Jackson auctions and is a TV host and recognized Motorsports reporter and a motorcyclist.
Rachel De Barros who is president and CEO of Purple Star Media, a boutique design, and interactive marketing company. She was the late comer and just wants to get along so does whatever duties are requested of her when they are repairing these vehicles on "all Girls Garage." Jessi Combs a very accomplished talented automotive service girl was part of the original cast/host of the show and left the show in 2014. During summers she worked at her uncle's garage who introduced her to basic repairs, bodywork, and paint. Rachel looks as if she is between a rock and hard place with the other girls but is there to do a job and it looks as if is sincere and really wants to do her very best each episode.
Viewers truly enjoy this show and watching the girls taking on repairs and maintenance on a various selection of makes and models. It's a great premise that women too can work on their own cars just like the men do! - Martin Snytsheuvel
