Go On Matchup Problems

Warning: Spoilers
As a massive fan of Friends I'm always excited when two alums from the show come together. Cox has her own show so she decided to come to Perry's Go On as a grieving women who created competition between Ryan and Anne for her affection. The scenes shared by Perry, White and Cox were funny because of the outrageousness of what Cox's Tahlia would say to get what she wanted. The other part of the episode was also about relationship's as Yolanda is made for on a cruise by her parents to find a husband. That part of the episode was very ensemble based as every characters was brought in but it never really was good to me. Back to the threesome I thought it was funny but as a fan of Cougar Town Cox has become a permanent Jules that I saw so much in common in those characters even though I still found Cox funny in her guest spot as a wild girl who seems to want a new direction in life.

EPISODE GRADE: B+ (MVP: Courtenay Cox)

Warning: Spoilers
'Go On' stages a 'Friends' reunion, by having Courtney Cox do a guest spot alongside her former TV husband, Matthew Perry.

Seeing as Perry has been pretty reticent to having his former co-stars appear on any of his post 2004 projects you get a sense of how desperate they were to try and breathe new life into this show.

I don't think this was a bad episode, though the quality certainly dipped after Christmas, but equally it's not a great one or one I'd rush to watch again.

Cox and Perry are good together, it's just a shame they couldn't think of anything better for them to do. Yes, Cox's character reminds us that there is black comedy to be found in grief, but her character is so annoying it just didn't land.

I actually preferred the B storyline with the other group members, as Lauren's relationship still looks unsteady.

So overall, nice to see Cox and Perry together again, but this is a weaker episode.
