Quotes

  • [Daryl sees Carol cooking up the deer he caught]

    Daryl Dixon : Smells good.

Carol Peletier : [Carol smiles]  Just so you know, I liked you first.

    Daryl Dixon : Stop.

  • [Daryl sees Beth and Zach have a hard time saying good-bye to each other]

Daryl Dixon : It's like a damn romance novel.

  • [Daryl talks to Carol about Rick still bringing in people]

Daryl Dixon : You know, Rick brought in a lot of them, too.

Carol Peletier : Not recently. Give the stranger sanctuary, keeping people fed, you're gonna have to learn to live with the love.

    Daryl Dixon : Right.

  • [Michonne asks Daryl if he's ready to go into the Big Spot store]

Michonne : We're gonna do this, Detective?

Daryl Dixon : Let's do it.

  • [Beth tells Daryl that she doesn't cry anymore]

Beth Greene : [about Zach]  I don't cry anymore, Daryl. I'm just glad I got to know him, you know?

    Daryl Dixon : Me, too.

Beth Greene : [Daryl hangs his head]  Are you okay?

Daryl Dixon : Just tired of losing people is all.

    Beth Greene : [when Beth hugs onto Daryl]  I'm glad I didn't say good-bye. I hate good-byes.

    Daryl Dixon : Me, too.

  • [Carol shows Daryl the buildup of Walkers around the fence]

Carol Peletier : About today, I don't know if we're gonna be able to spare a lot of people for the run.

Daryl Dixon : That place is good to go. We're gonna move on it.

Carol Peletier : Yeah. The thing is, we had a pretty big buildup overnight. Dozens more towards tower three. It's getting as bad as last month. They don't spread out anymore.

Daryl Dixon : With more of us sitting here, we're drawing more of them out. You get enough of those damn fence-clingers, they start to herd up.

Carol Peletier : Pushing against the fences again. It's manageable, but unless we get ahead of it, not for long. Sorry, Pookie.

    [Carol smiles as Daryl scoffs]

  • [Zach tries to guess what Daryl did before the apocalypse]

Zach : Well, the way you are at the prison, you being on the council, you're able to track, you're helping people, but you're still being kind of... surly. Big swing here. Homicide cop.

Daryl Dixon : [when Michonne laughs]  What's so funny?

Michonne : Nothing. It makes perfect sense.

Daryl Dixon : Actually, the man's right. Undercover.

    Zach : Come on, really?

Daryl Dixon : Yep. I don't like to talk about it 'cause it was a lot of heavy shit, you know?

Zach : Dude, come on, really?

Zach : [as Daryl stares silently at Zach]  Okay. I'll just keep guessing, I guess.

Daryl Dixon : Yeah, you keep doing that.

  • [Bob asks Sasha to go on the run with her]

Bob Stookey : Let me earn my keep.

Sasha Williams : You were out on your own when Daryl found you.

    Bob Stookey : That's right.

Sasha Williams : I just want to make sure you know how to play on a team.

Daryl Dixon : We ain't gonna do it unless it's easy.

Glenn Rhee : You know he was a medic in the Army.

Bob Stookey : [Bob looks to Sasha, smiling]  You a hell of a tough sell. You know that?

Sasha Williams : [when Sasha finally agrees]  Okay.

  • [Daryl and the group of runners arrive at the Big Spot discount store]

Daryl Dixon : Army came in and put these fences up. Made it a place for the people to go. Last week when we spotted this place, there was a bunch of Walkers behind this chain-link keeping people out like a bunch of guard dogs.

Bob Stookey : [as the group see no Walkers]  So they all just left?
