Warning: Spoilers
Both rucks out for the Bombers and the Premiers at full strength with Cameron back in, on their home deck. It's an absolute smashing in the opening term, Essendon goalless and down by 46 points. The Bombers do a better job containing the Cats in the 2nd, but still down 44 at the half. Stewart thwarting everything, patrolling the defensive 50. Essendon's first mark inside 50 is taken halfway through the 3rd and Hawkins kicking very well at the other end. Geelong extends the margin out to 77 points, in a one-sided affair. The Cats marginally won the hit-outs, the clearances even, Geelong with more of the footy and more tackles applied. The Cats with 36 more inside 50's, for 21 more scoring shots. Geelong with 15 contested marks to 4, both teams accurate on goal. Hawkins best afield, with 16 disposals, 3 contested marks and 5 goals. Stewart 16 of 18 disposals effective, 2 contested marks and 9 intercepts. Atkins 28 disposals, 9 clearances, 12 tackles and 5 intercepts. Blicavs 17 of 19 disposals effective, 8 hit-outs, 5 tackles, 6 intercepts and 2 goals. Stengle 15 disposals, 6 inside 50's and 3 straight goals.

3. (Geel) T. Hawkins, 2. (Geel) T. Stewart, 1. (Geel) T. Atkins.
