Will Ben Whishaw be nominated for Best Movie/Miniseries Actor at the Emmys for "London Spy"? He just earned a Best Drama Actor nomination from the BAFTA TV Awards for his performance as Danny, a working-class gay man who becomes embroiled in an international plot after falling in love with the enigmatic title character. That recognition from BAFTA is especially impressive as these kudos combine performances in series, miniseries and TV movies and only have four nominees per category. -Break- Subscribe to Gold Derby Breaking News Alerts & Experts’ Latest Emmy Predictions At the BAFTAs, Whishaw faces off against a pair of previous Emmy-nominees -- Idris Elba ("Luther") and Mark Rylance ("Wolf Hall") -- as well as one-time "Boardwalk Empire" actor Stephen Graham for "This is England '90." Ant & Dec believe they have picked the winner of this year's Britain's Got Talent.
The presenters chose dance act Boyband for their Golden Buzzer act, sending the group straight to the show's live semi-finals.
Speaking at the BAFTA TV Awards' winner's press conference yesterday (May 10), Dec said: "Predictions-wise, we've got a sneaky feeling that our Golden Buzzer act - Boyband - could do well.
"We'll take all of the credit if they do!"
Ant added that he liked to see how the acts grow throughout the competition.
"Some of them… like Diversity when they came onto the live shows, I didn't really remember them that much from their first audition, but they blew everybody away with their second - and I think if you do that, you've got to stand a chance of winning."
The presenters added to their growing award collection when they took home two BAFTA Awards at last night's event.

James Norton is coming back to Happy Valley.
Norton, who played the villainous Tommy Lee Royce in the BAFTA-winning drama, told Digital Spy and others at the BAFTA TV Awards winners' press conference that he will return for series two of the BBC drama.
Happy Valley, which also stars Sarah Lancashire and Steve Pemberton, was recommissioned for six new episodes after its highly successful first series last year.
Series creator Sally Wainwright admitted that she is feeling the pressure after series one's warm reception, saying: "The first series was massively successful in a way I haven't experienced before... You need a clear [plot] focus so the audience feel that they're in good hands. It's scary but great."
She also defended the show from concerns about the level of violence, following a dramatic showdown between Catherine Cawood (Lancashire) and Tommy, which left her fighting for her life in hospital.
"I didn't think it would be controversial.

Archie Panjabi will be urging on The Good Wife at the BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday - where she's also handing out an honour - but we imagine it might be a bit strange for her. Because after six seasons as investigator Kalinda, Panjabi has left the hit show. What better time for a catch-up?
We met up with Archie at BAFTA (where else?) to chat about why she chose to leave The Good Wife, her future on The Fall, what's next for her and whether we'll ever see her on EastEnders...
Are you excited about Sunday?
"Yeah, I think we've got a chance! And I've never handed out an award for BAFTA before so I'm really chuffed that they asked me and quite excited. It's weird, because I'm British, and yet I've done all the American ceremonies and this is my first time doing the British one! It's quite exciting.

Graham Norton has joked that while there will be a lot of ballads on Eurovision this year, they will be "differently awful".

Graham Norton has suggested that EastEnders should win the Audience Award at this Sunday's BAFTA Television Awards.

ITV‘s Broadchurch just scooped three BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday, and this morning had its first read-through for Season 2. The past 10 days have seen regular cast updates with David Tennant reprising his role as Detective Alec Hardy and BAFTA Lead Actress winner Olivia Colman returning as Detective Ellie Miller. Also in the returning cast are Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Arthur Darvill. New to the series, whose plot details are being kept top secret, are Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Eve Myles and James D’Arcy. The photo below is the first time they’ve all been snapped together. Releasing the pic is one way to tide over fans; series creator and writer Chris Chibnall has appealed to the media and the public who might observe filming in Dorset and Somerset later this month to refrain from divulging any tidbits.

Chris Chibnall has defended the decision to remake Broadchurch for American audiences.
Gracepoint will air on Us network Fox this fall, with original series star David Tennant again playing the male lead.
Broadchurch creator Chibnall - speaking at last night's Arqiva BAFTA Television Awards 2014 - explained that the UK series "didn't air to a large number of people at all in America".
"I come from theatre and you have different productions of a text in theatre," he said. "It's not unusual - I find it surprising that people find it surprising.
"The offer was there [to make a Us version] and it seemed like an interesting thing to do."
Chibnall - who also wrote the pilot script for Gracepoint - insisted that the Us series is in the hands of "great showrunners".

Mark Gatiss has dismissed rumours that the next Sherlock outing will be a one-off special.
Back in April, Martin Freeman implied that the show could be back for a single film, ahead of or in place of a fourth series.
However, Gatiss revealed at last night's Arqiva BAFTA Television Awards 2014 that a fourth series is still "the plan".
"There was talk [of a single film, but] amongst people who have nothing to do with Sherlock, I'm afraid," the co-creator quipped.
Gatiss - who also plays Mycroft Holmes on the series - added that the Sherlock team are "moving closer to agreeing [shooting] dates".
"Benedict and Martin's schedules, Steven's schedule, my schedule, everybody's schedule - it's like a jigsaw puzzle," he said.
"But both [Martin and Benedict] are really very keen to carry on and as I say, we have made progress."
Sherlock's latest three-part run aired over a 12-day period in January.

BBC Two drama Murder has been commissioned for a full series.
Murder: Joint Enterprise won 'Best Single Drama' at Sunday night's (May 12) BAFTA Television Awards and an extended series will now follow.
"Murder was one of the most striking and distinctive single dramas on BBC Two last year and I'm delighted to see it turn into a series," said BBC Two Controller Janice Hadlow.
Joint Enterprise - which aired in August 2012 - starred Joe Dempsie (Game of Thrones) and Karla Crome (Misfits) as two young people caught up in a murder investigation, with both characters directly addressing the camera to tell their side of the story.
Ben Stephenson, Controller BBC Drama, said: "It is testament to the talented team behind Murder that it will return to BBC Two as a series. It is a truly innovative way of telling crime stories in a unique way and its BAFTA for 'Best Single' reinforces this.

Perhaps the biggest surprise at the 2013 TV BAFTAs was how much fun they were. Graham Norton set the tone for the evening, managing to bring some cheekiness and belly laughs to proceedings. His zinger about Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery was our personal favourite of the night.
Norton will have made a few BBC execs squirm and sweat with his Operation Yewtree gags as well. The audience in the hall were treated to an even more risqué set of material from Norton as part of his warm-up, which we won't repeat here to keep our lawyers happy.

Olivia Colman pulled off a historic double at the BAFTA TV Awards, taking home two gongs for her performances in 'Twenty Twelve' and 'The Accused'.
The popular actress, who has gone from strength to strength since her breakthrough film role in 'Tyrannosaur' last year, including the hit series 'Broadchurch', took to the stage three times in all, as 'Twenty Twelve also scooped the award for 'Best Comedy'.
Olivia Colman was overjoyed to receive two Baftas at the BAFTA TV Awards
Colman was typically humble in her speeches, saying 'I'm sorry' as she accepted her second award, and noting of her win for Female Comedy Performance, 'I'm not even the funniest one in our programme."
She also used the chance of her second win, for 'Twenty Twelve' to thank somebody she forgot the first time around, the director of 'The Accused' - David Blair.
