Try something a little different from the traditional bomkesh. However, the whole effort cannot be said to be successful. But nice try. Maybe more budget from SVF would have been better.

Loved the chemistry of Anirban, Sohini and Rahul. Great combination. But Srijit's sharp script seems to have been lost. Cinematography is quite good.

A web series that focuses on all the characters is not at all here. A rush to finish too soon. There was no momentum in the series. Several supporting characters showed inertia in acting.

Many thanks Srijith for giving another chance to a lost good actor like Biplab Chatterjee.

Huge letdown. How can someone who claims he is a big fan of the original story make so many drastic changes to the story, especially the climax? And also claiming he tried to be true to the source material. Srijit Mukherji is lately doing so many works that all his works aren't up to the mark. He should focus on quality rather than quantity. For a 6-episode series, it feels slow, and sometimes some scenes feel unnecessary (especially the opening Chiriyakhana scene, taking a jab at the Byomkesh wearing specs for the celluloid). It could have been a four-episode series like Pinjrapol. Performance-wise, except for Anirban, none were memorable. Sohini was a better match for Abir and Riddhima for Anirban. Sohini at times felt more "nyaka" than the recent performance of Rukmini in Satyabati. Rahul was okay-ish. The cinematography is quite good considering it's a web series, but sometimes the production value feels cheap. Overall, the weakest Byomkesh web series, Anirban, might be the best Byomkesh, but Dev's recent Durgo Rohosso had much better execution and experience overall.

The title should be pregnant bomkesh. Distorting a story by inserting an unwanted angle , as if without a woman a story cannot be told. The actual writer , the renowned Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, might have been considered an idiot by the script writer and the director of the web series. Shame.

The Sottoboti character protraied by the author was decent and respective and responsible woman who take care of the family matters leaving Byomkesh to concentrate on demystifing the mysteries.

But, here she is irresponsible, and arogant and self centric woman. She is so irresponsible that being a pregnant , only thing she concentrate on roaming around. Shame.
