When Game of Thrones TV series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss set out to craft an epic series called 3 Body Problem, an adaptation of a trilogy of sci-fi novels written by Chinese author Liu Cixin, for the Netflix streaming service, they were hoping to get four seasons out of the material. But when the first season of 3 Body Problem started streaming in March and pulled in a sizeable but underwhelming number of views, some began to question whether or not Netflix would want any more episodes of the big budget show. Now The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Netflix has indeed ordered more episodes – but just enough to allow Benioff, Weiss, and co-creator Alexander Woo to wrap up the story. Exactly how many episodes that will be has not yet been revealed.

When "Reacher" ended its first season on Prime Video last year, it left the door open for future adventures featuring scrappy Georgia police officer — and Jack Reacher's sometimes-lover— Roscoe Conklin (Willa Fitzgerald). The last time we saw Roscoe, she was handing Jack (Alan Ritchson) a candy bar wrapper with her phone number on it and asking him to hit her up sometime. The show's return date has yet to be announced, but the cast and crew have still been breaking down what made season 1 a success in the off-season, starting with the relationship between its two super-capable heroes.
In an interview with CinemaBlend (via Yahoo) Fitzgerald explained what exactly made Roscoe and Jack's partnership work, and it all comes down to chemistry. "I think that even from our chemistry test, which was over Zoom, so not ideal circumstances to really have chemistry with anyone, we kind of managed to find chemistry there,...

Exclusive: Fox has put in development Red Widow, a one-hour CIA thriller based on Alma Katsu’s forthcoming book, which Sarah Condon is executive producing. A search is underway for a writer to pen the adaptation via an open writing assignment.
In Red Widow, the lives of two female CIA agents become intertwined around an internal threat to the Agency’s Russia Division as they navigate the mostly male world of intelligence. Exclusive: Novelist-turned-tv writer Megan Abbott is setting up her latest television project after eOne snapped up the rights to her upcoming book The Turnout.
The Turnout is set in the hothouse world of a ballet school led by the Durant sisters, Dara and Marie, and Dara’s husband Charlie. Their connection is intense, forged by a glamorous but troubled family history. But after they hire Derek, a charismatic, possibly shady contractor to renovate the studio, Marie throws herself into an intense affair with him that threatens their tight bonds and brings forward family secrets until an act of violence overturns everything.
The book is set to be released in the summer of 2021, as one of publisher Putnam’s lead fiction titles for next year. The Hasbro-owned Sharp Objects producer pre-emptively picked up the rights and will develop an adaptation. The Turnout is the first in a three-book deal for Abbott and Putnam.
