Gennie's funeral part 1
MarkLynnIreland129414 August 2022
Unless I'm mistaken, this must be the first episode of Emmerdale, its ninth anniversary, which has the funeral of Genesis "Gennie" Walker. It's saddening that actress Sian Reese-Williams has left the soap even Lucy Pargeter mentioned about missing her in some interview on Digital Spy.

Natalie J Robb as Moira might had a bit of cleavage yet women wearing simple black at funerals (had to tell if wearing cardigan/jacket over it).

Marlon is shocked upon hearing from Chas that Katie left the day before her best friend's funeral.

Widower Nikhil has come to his senses apologizing for his behaviour, yet I still prefer it was Chas who looks after Molly. Brenda goes AWOL before the funeral starts while Chas takes Bob and Rodney to look for her.

Cameron is concerned over Debbie finding out if she's attending her cousin's funeral, otherwise it'd make everyone suspicious. He needs her to be there, despite she feels terribly guilty. I don't like seeing Cameron be the pallbearer. After finding Brenda, on walk back Brenda mentions to Chas about Gennie didn't like or some distrust about Cameron Chas looks uncomfortable. And by coincidence, Chas sees Cameron through the window of Debbie's. Even Cameron lies to Chas about where he was as he says that he was in the pub cellar. Why can't Chas ask him why he was at Debbie's (even if he said he was encouraging Debbie to attend the funeral)?

Upon arriving at the church, friction between Andy and Declan again over Katie, before Edna rightly tells them that Gennie's funeral they're at is neither the time nor the place.

During the eulogy, now Chas asks Cameron about loving her, even if before and after sleeping with Debbie after she seen him in her place whilst walking to the church. Find it bit funny Chas telling Cameron if he looks at Debbie again, she swore there'll be two funerals within the same day.
