The license plate on the family vehicle is the same as on the taxi in Oneida that picks up Eleanor and Reggie at the bus station.
At the end of movie when Eleanor is playing the coronet she is taking a breath while the coronet is playing, revealing that she is not actually playing the coronet.
At the end of the movie when Eleanor's part -time job babysitting Reggie cones to and end, they both lament over "breaking up"after the bond they established;,however,it defies
credulity not to believe that Reggie could -and would-make Eleanor's position full-time with simply a request to his mother.
During the piece that Reggie has composed for the quartet near the beginning of the movie, you can see Violins and Violas as well as the Piano and Cello. Eleanor also remarks on how beautiful the Violas and Violins sound together, but when they perform the piece, you can only hear the Cello and Piano.
