However, the film began with promise. Two hunters stalk the forest but are quickly turned to pray by an unseen monster. The scene wasn’t very frightening, it was shot in the daylight and happened very quickly, but at least it had a body count. And this was supposed to be a sci-fi horror movie…right?

We have a list of the new Hulu movies and shows arriving in October 2018.
Happy Huluween!
Hulu is blessed to have a name that sounds roughly enough like "Hallow." That means it's basically honor-bound to bring the heat for Halloween. Thankfully for the October 2018 new releases, Hulu is bringing us the spookies that we need. The Blair Witch Project, The Others, and Child's Play all arrive this month. And if you're looking for some more wholesome creepies, The Nightmare Before Christmas should do. And if that weren't enough, Hulu is debuting its own horror show - anthology series Into the Dark.
For those shamefully unable to get into the Halloween spirit, Hulu is bringing in some other fun film options. Galaxy Quest, Music and Lyrics, and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective should help out with that.
Then of course, are the usual and typically deep TV offerings.

House of Good and Evil is a movie we’ve been keeping an eye on since its first appearance in our Indie Spotlight and it’s headed to DVD on April 1st. For the latest installment of our Q&A series, Derek Anderson had a chance to catch up with the movie’s star, Rachel Marie Lewis, to learn about her experience on set:
You’ve played characters in dramas, comedies, and romances, but to my knowledge, your role as Maggie Conley in House of Good and Evil was your first time acting in a horror movie. What was it like to play a character in that genre for the first time?
Rachel Marie Lewis: It was great and certainly stretched me, that’s for sure. Every day was emotionally and physically tedious, so preparation was absolutely crucial.

Know why some ground is considered sacred ground? Because it's meant not to be traversed and should be left alone. Of course in the horror genre we live for the moment that someone violates this simple premise and in the indie flick Beacon Point they do so with deadly consequences.
