I prefer The Voice format to American Idol and usually this show ends up with superior talent too, but it has kind of been the opposite this year. There have been some standout voices, but a lot of the artists just feel like rehashes of people we have seen a hundred times and do not offer much in the form of originality.
I feel like there aren't a lot of unique avenues with these coaches either. I feel like we need a true pop star singer, male or female, as that is what the kids are listening to, and we don't have that option for the artists to choose from with the five that we have right now.
