During the recap flashback scenes, when the victim is seen escaping from the airplane as it taxis down the runway, his red baseball cap flies off his head and he does not retrieve it. However, he's still wearing it when his body is discovered.
The police recover an automatic pistol which has been used in a murder. It looks like a SIG-Sauer type. However, when a photograph of the muzzle of the pistol is seen back at the police station, it is no longer a SIG-Sauer, but a Colt 1911 type, a completely different pistol.
In a flashback, the 1911type pistol is shown being used in the murder. However, the hammer is down, so the pistol has not been cocked and cannot fire. Furthermore, when the pistol is "fired" the slide does not move, confirming that the pistol does not fire.
The 1911 pistol is shown fitted with a silencer during the murder. It is fitted with a silencer. When "fired", a large muzzle flash is seen. However, the purpose of the silencer is to contain the gas which causes the flash and noise of a shot. If there is a muzzle flash, then it follows the shot cannot be silenced,
