Crane has repeatedly mentioned that the "two witnesses" (himself and Abbie) are prophesied to work together against evil for 7 years. However when quoting the Book of Revelation, Abbie says "And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days." At just under three and a half years, that's less that half the time Crane has said.
Abbie says that four dead bodies have turned up in the last two weeks. Irving had said previously that there were five dead including two police.
When Crane is telling them about the tea party he puts one of his hands over the other so both are on one side while he is holding the sextant but in the next scene he has one hand on each side of it.
Ichabod Crane states that he read about Moloch in a theological treatise, namely the 'Paradise Lost' by Milton. 'Paradise Lost' is a poetical work of fiction, not a theological text.
The participants in the Boston Tea Party should have been dressed as Native Americans.
Ichabod says while on a mission by General Washington he created a diversion that Abbie recognizes as the Boston Tea Party. The actual Boston Tea Party was in 1773, while Washington became General and Commander-in-chief of the Continental Army two years later.
Tea is shown to be loose leaf style. In reality tea during the time of the Boston tea party was shipped compressed into bricks.
The Hessian mispronounces the line "Moloch wird auferstehen".
