Fan project that should have stayed at UCLA

Warning: Spoilers
"Happy Potter: A Fan Movie for UCLA" is a 4-minute movie from 2011, so it has its 5th anniversary this year. The writer is Scott Gist and he is also one of the several directors. The cast is mostly Asian American and we see some UCLA students and teachers in this little movie. Harry Potter fans will either love it or hate it, the rest probably won't care at all about it. I personally think it is fine for a student project, but there is really no point in making it public for anybody outside of UCLA because the quality simple isn't good and neither is the complete lack of a convincing story. Cheap plays on words and embarrassing acting sequences are when the film hits rock bottom. It obviously tries to score a bit on the quirky side, but it's all extremely awkward and not in a good way. The worst for me is the very random use of a Lady Gaga song. Not a fan at all of the artist and this was also the main reason for me to give it an even lower rating than i initially intended to. Maybe a decent song could have made up for some of the flaws. Highly not recommended.
