Fans of the Bard in Houston and Dallas, rejoice: The Globe on Screen is launching high-definition screenings of performances at the Globe of “Richard II,” “Measure for Measure,” and “The Merchant of Venice,” now through September in movie theaters in both cities. Right now the Game of Thrones panel is going on and while fans of George R. R. Martin’s saga await impatiently for a release date for The Winds of Winter to be uttered (Hint: You’ll be lucky…) they kicked off proceedings with the obligatory blooper reel.
While it’s all good and well to see Charles Dance swear at forgetting his lines the best moment comes halfway in when Emilia Clarrke breaks out of her High Valyrian and into a South London estate brogue. ‘I’m a Khalessi, not a Queen F***’s sake mate…’ Wonderful…
