Another wonderful Austen adaptation!

Currently there are eleven episodes out of Emma Approved, and I am loving it. When I first heard they chose Emma to adapt into a vlog, my first worry that it would be too much like clueless. No worries at all. They're both proving to be charming adaptations. The casting is wonderful. Joanna Sotomura is absolutely charming, which is needed considering how unlikeable the character is. The chemistry she has with Brent Bailey is so fun to watch, and he is rather swoon-worthy. Dayeanne Hutton is simply adorable. I like that they're making her character a sweet, awkward girl who tries way too hard rather than an idiot. And then last episode we got to meet Martin! I watched it with a friend of mine, and we couldn't stop talking about how great he was. Very funny, a nice guy, someone totally deserving of Harriet, just not what Emma would want.

I'm excited to see this story evolve even more.

Pretty Entertaining

I have not read the Jane novel so I can read say whether it's faithful or not but I can't say that this series is just as entertaining as The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.

The leads are great together, that extends to the rest of the cast especially the antagonists. If I had to say something negative it might be that the script isn't as clear as it's predecessor.

It's a little murky sometimes. But it is good enough to sit and binge watch in one day. I say forget the negative reviews and form your own opinion by giving it a try and watch it.

It's OK but......

I am a big fan of the Lizzie Bennet diaries. I am a big fan of really ANYTHING Jane Austen related but the acting in this series is the WORST. I can tolerate just about anything, even Amanda Bynes' acting but this is beyond.

Normally, I keep my opinions to myself but I had to do my part for humanity to warn of this Carrie Underwood quality of acting. It's as if the actors are having a hard time believing what they are doing. They may possibly be good actors on a normal set but are having a hard time "acting" naturally in a supposed vlog setting? Whatever the case may be, it's tough to watch.

It's a fun series. The writing is good; the storyline is clever. The casting director should have been fired.

If you are bored, sure, watch it.
