- Open with Sookie calling Jackson to tell him his son has died. Jackson, who is quite shaken at the news, tells Sookie "he loved the fuck out of you." Sookie simply responds "I loved him too" and hangs up. We then see Jason call Hoyt to tell him his mother has died. Because of the glamoring Hoyt doesn't know Jason as Jason tries to talk to him the way he used to but Hoyt thanks him which really touches Jason. Sam walks in and gets them both, saying "Are you ready?"
Pam and Eric are in a private plane together. Pam wants to go to Baton Rouge to look for Senator Finch as a way to find Sarah Newlin. Eric changes plans and says they need to go to Shreveport to find Willa, who he wants to see before he dies. Pam is not pleased and reminds Eric that Willa hates Eric for abandoning her just as Tara hated her for leaving. Eric gives his condolences for Tara.
Flash back to 1986 in Shreveport. The Magister meets Eric and Pam at a strip mall. He tells them their new job will be to run a video store. They look positively mortified at the idea of it. The Magister points out a secret tunnel in the basement and notes that it may come in useful. Eric will also be named Sheriff of Area 5, a move done to keep a close watch on him. Eric is not a happy camper.
In present day, Sookie goes to see Arlene's kids. Their mother is still missing and they know something serious is wrong. Sookie promises that they will save Arlene and bring her home safely. She goes in the house and tells Andy she needs to speak with Holly and that she promised the kids, even though she knows she shouldn't have, that they will rescue Arlene. Although he objects, Andy allows Sookie to speak with Holly. Holly looks exhausted and says that she can't remember what happened while she was there. Sookie asks to read her thoughts as it might be the only way to find the others. Holly is scared but understands there's no other way. Sookie holds her hands and they go through her memory. For Holly it's a painful process. Sookie sees that Arlene and Nicole are still alive, but Kevin was killed and that they are at Fangtasisa. Sookie leaves and tells Andy to hold Holly. Andy stays with Holly to comfort her while the others leave.
Jason and Sam drive to Kevin's home to tell his wife the bad news. Sam turns the car around, wanting to go to Fangtasia. Jason puts a gun to his head and reminds him they can't help Nicole without vampires,it would be a suicide mission. Sam gets out of the car frustrated but understanding and makes Jason drive to Rosie's.
Jessica is still refusing to eat, the result of which is her bullet wound not healing. James brings in Bill to try and help. James informs Bill it's been nearly 10 weeks since she last fed. As Bill repremands her Sookie arrives, telling Jessica that she doesn't care about her problems because everyone is dead including Jessica and that more serious things are happening outside of Jessica's self loathing . Sookie offers to let Jessica feed off her but she refuses because Sookie is a fairy. Sookie tells James to call Lafayette.He arrives in true style. To convince her to eat, Lafayette tells Jessica that, just like her, he's done terrible things, even killed the man he loved. His story works and Jessica then feeds on Lafayette. James looks shocked at what Lafayette revealed but is thankful nonetheless.
We flash to 1996 in the video store. A woman named Ginger walks in looking for a vampire movies and Pam directs her to the proper section. She seems obsessed with vampires but doesn't think they're real. She asks if she can work for them in their open day shift after getting an eyeful of Eric. Ginger is clearly smitten.
In present day Sam and Jason speak with Kevin's widow. Rosie wants them to promise they'll get the vampires.
Sookie and Bill talk about the plan. She then lets him feed off of her, this time from her neck. He's hesitant but feeds on her just the same.
We flash to the video store in 2006. Ginger brings a huge chair in and suggests to Pam that with vampires out of the closet they can turn the location into a nightclub. She thinks they should sit Eric on this throne and sell his sex appeal. She even comes up with the name Fangtasia. Pam promptly glamours Ginger so she can take credit for the idea. In present day, on the airplane, Pam confesses to Eric that she stole the idea. This greatly amuses Eric.
The relatively small group of vampires, shifters and humans prepare to take on the infected group at Fangtasia. Eric and Pam show up unannounced looking for Willa. Bill does not seems thrilled seeing them but assures Eric he's not "asshole" anymore and welcomes them in. He also notices the sign of infection on Eric's chest. Sookie embraces Eric and sees that he is sick. Eric calls for Willa who is not happy to be summoned by him.
Sookie and Eric speak alone. She tells him she and Alcide were together and he is now dead. Eric doesn't love the idea that she was dating a wolf, but comforts her after Sookie pointedly says it doesn't matter what he was, that they loved each other. He gives a rundown on what he's been doing, essentially seeing the world before he dies.
A furious Willa arrives and is angry that Eric left when she was two weeks old. He says he'll explain after she's helped them. Eric tells Bill there is another way into Fangtasia. He and Pam are going to help, though Pam doesn't like it.
Sam sneaks into the Fangtasia dungeon as a rat. He tells the women that vampires will be coming in the same way and they need to trust them. Seconds after he leaves as a rat again, the infected vamps come downstairs and take Arlene.
Eric tries to knock down a wall but can make nothing more than a dent. Bill knocks down a wall in one punch for him. Pam convinces the weakened Eric to stay behind. Bill and Pam walk in and see that Arlene has just been taken.
Eric knocks on the door. The infected vampires let him in because he has Sookie with him. Sookie states she is his. Eric reminds them not touch her. Bill secretly sees this and is pissed that Eric put Sookie in this position. A huge fight ensues in the club and outside. Members of the vigilante group arrive and throw molotov bottles in the club catching it on fire. Arlene is near the point of death having been drained by the infected vamps and Sookie yells at Eric to get a clean vampire to help her. Eric simply walks outside. Arlene hallucinates that Terry is there with her. Sookie reads her thoughts to discover it's true, that Terry really is there with them. Arlene is ready to die but is talked out of it by Terry who tells her to stay for the kids. Keith, a vampire helping Bill, comes in and feeds her his blood, saving her life. Bill ends up saving both Eric and Jessica's life. Pam puts out the fire and searches for Eric, finding him feeding off Rosie.
Ultimately Bill and the clean vampires kill all of the infected ones. Eric and Sookie exchange an intense look as the episode ends.
