Warner Bros. Discovery has taken a divide-and-conquer strategy when it comes to “Impractical Jokers.”
The show, a programming mainstay on the cable network TruTv for ten seasons, has been airing on both Tru and TBS since launching its most recent cycle in early February of 2023. During that run, the show has largely seen viewership increase on TBS week over week, according to data from Nielsen, except for the week of March 2. While its run on Tru has been a little choppier over its first month on air, viewership of the episodes has widened noticeably when viewership over a three-day period is taken into consideration. The launch of the tenth season has also boosted viewership of linear repeats as well as streams on HBO Max, according to Nielsen data reviewed by Variety.

The Hulu movie In and Of Itself is unlike anything you've ever seen before, and so is Derek DelGaudio, the artist and magician who performs the show. Although the quick way to describe him is as a magician, DelGaudio himself insists that his performance style and his career is much more than what you typically think of a magician doing.
DelGaudio is a career magician with an impressive history - he's even a two-time Academy of Magical Arts' Close-Up Magician of the Year! Despite this, when he talks about In and Of Itself, DelGaudio pushes back a little on the label of "magician."
"It's difficult to convey what I want it to convey if people think that I'm trying to deceive them. So the title magician just tends to conceal the things I'm trying to reveal," he told Slate. "It's not so much running from it as it is wanting...

Time and time again during this year’s pandemic, movie studios have had to make the best of a bad situation. HBO Max’s list of new releases for December 2020 comes along with the most extreme example yet.
WarnerMedia undoubtedly had big plans for Wonder Woman 1984 when it scheduled it for a holiday release last year. After moving it to the summer, however, the conglomerate had to delay its theatrical release time and time again. Now HBO Max is the lucky winner of the saga, as it gets to premiere the long-awaited sequel on its servers on Dec. 25.
While Wonder Woman 1984 is definitely the headline this month, there are some other intriguing streaming options for HBO Max in December. The month plays host to a whole host of high-powered documentaries like Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults (Dec. 3), Alabama Snake (Dec. 9), and the Tiger Woods documentary Tiger (Dec.

In the first major crossover between WarnerMedia’s HBO Max and siblings TNT, TBS and TruTV, the ad-supported linear cable networks will carry four days of curated HBO Max programming over the Thanksgiving holiday. The stunt is clearly designed to promote HBO Max’s programming and draw new subscribes to the streaming platform.
Warner Media brass have said that HBO Max is a main priority, and the other divisions of the company have been pitching in to support it. When WarnerMedia earlier this year pulled the plug on DirecTV’s Audience as an original programming network, it was transformed into an HBO Max preview channel.
Beginning Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 29 each network will air its own themed content from HBO Max.
On Thursday, TNT will feature DC movies, including the network premiere of Aquaman, as well as the first episode of season one of HBO Max’s original series Titans.

TruTV has canceled the comedy series “I’m Sorry,” Variety has learned. The news comes despite the fact that the show was renewed for a third season last June. Production on the show’s third season was shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Due to circumstances created by Covid, we unfortunately cannot move forward with production on the third season of I’m Sorry,'” a truTV spokesperson said in a statement. “We admire Andrea Savage’s irreverent voice and fresh take on parenthood and are so proud of the show she and her cast and crew created. She was a great partner for many years and we truly wish everyone well.”

TruTV is laying off most of its marketing and programming staffers, who will receive severance packages as part of exit deals similar to those at other units of WarnerMedia. The company has been streamlining and consolidating since At&T acquired Time Warner for $81 billion in 2018. The restructuring accelerated in February, when the federal government ended its pursuit of an antitrust lawsuit seeking to block the merger.
Deadline has confirmed the truTV departures are close to 50, or nearly 40% of the network’s workforce. The departments are not shutting down completely, with small programming and marketing teams to remain when the network team joins other New York divisions next week at WarnerMedia’s new HQ in Hudson Yards.

Kevin Reilly, President TBS, TNT and Chief Creative Officer Turner and Direct-to-Consumer, has extended his contract with a new four-year deal through 2022. As part of the extension, Reilly is expanding his portfolio to add the last remaining network from the former Turner Broadcast System, truTV. As a result of the reorganization, truTV’s President Chris Linn is stepping down after a six-tear tenure.
Reilly’s new title is President of TBS, TNT and truTV and Chief Content Officer, WarnerMedia Direct-to-Consumer.
Locking in Reilly marks the first major executive move by Bob Greenblatt since he was named Chairman of WarnerMedia Entertainment in March. It erases any doubts about Railly’s future that may have been raised by the appointment of Greenblatt, which came a couple of months after Reilly’s December 2018 promotion that put him in charge of creative for WarnerMedia’s upcoming Direct-to-Consumer platform in addition to his duties as President of TNT and TBS.

Have you ever wondered what happens when someone realizes they're on The Carbonaro Effect? I definitely have, because I feel like the show is popular enough now most people would have to realize what's happening like ten minutes into his weird tricks to regain their sanity. Apparently, it doesn't happen as often as I would assume, but it does happen as Michael revealed a prank that ended abruptly when the guy realized this trippy situation was very similar to a TV show he watched with his sister. Check it out below, and watch the guy slowly realize he's on television:
Side note, because I feel like this is just a weird factoid to bring up, I first watched The Carbonaro Effect in Joey's house three years ago hours after I met him for the first time in real life, so I always think of that moment when I watch this show.

Oh, and maybe get his career and dating life on track if his family would just leave him the hell alone. Drawing upon real-life experiences and characters featured in Koy’s popular stand-up tour, this half-hour animated scripted series asks: what if the most real family on television was also a pretty weird cartoon? Created by Koy and Kirk Rudell, “This Functional Family” (wt) will be produced by Stun with Koy, Rudell, Jeremy Colfer, Mark Feldstein, and Brad Roth serving as executive producers.

One of cable’s longest-running and top-rated original comedies, “Impractical Jokers” centers on James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano – collectively known as The Tenderloins – four lifelong friends and comedians who compete to publicly embarrass each other with a series of hilariously outrageous hidden-camera dares and punishments. “Impractical Jokers,” which is a top-5 cable comedy among adults 18-34 and 18-49, is produced by NorthSouth Productions with Charlie DeBevoise, Pete McPartland Jr., Gatto, Murray, Quinn, and Vulcano serving as executive producers. Thanksgiving Day means expressing gratitude, connecting with loved ones, and sharing a meal. It also frequently involves overeating, preparation for Friday's orgy of consumerism, and rapidly getting annoyed with your family and friends. Thankfully, there's a solution: getting lost in hours of reality TV marathons. Many cable networks have scheduled them, so here's a guide to all of the television you can escape to when you ditch your family or just seek out a television without a parade or football. First, cleanse your television palate by binge-watching fall's best reality series, Starz's "The Chair," online or on demand. It follows the creation of two films that both use the same script, which is thematically appropriate: both "Hollidaysburg" and "Not Cool" are about returning home for Thanksgiving for the first time after being away at college. When you're done with artful reality television or just need families more dysfunctional than your own,...
