There are so many people, especially men, that are ready to fill up your head with trivia and bio facts about famous men. The fame is directly proportional with the number of trivia buffs. And also the number of years the man has been dead. So Houdini is not really Napoleon Bonaparte, but he has his share of trivia fans.
Alan Davies is one of those who don't do anything so they compensate by knowing stuff about dead men who did something. But he can't even tell a story. And the script is not any better. So the viewer ends up with some sort of animated Wikipedia page with no reference and no links.
