- Annalise gets her appeal to reexamine the conviction of a man who was convicted of murder and sentenced to death. He eventually returns and works the case with the others and they discover that Asher's father was the judge in the original case. - Annalise's latest client is David Allen who 21 years ago was convicted of murdering his girlfriend Tricia Samuels. Annalise now has the opportunity to have the case reexamined on appeal. Allen is on death row and the appeal - including new evidence the defense might have - is scheduled for 3 days time. They review the evidence presented at the original trial and find that the judge in the case - Asher's father, Judge William Millstone- may have ignored information about perjured testimony. Wes meanwhile has figured out that the photo on the cellphone is Annalise's husband Sam. He's clearly upset with what he sees as her lack of ethics and insists that she find Rebecca who is in hiding. In a flash-forward 5 weeks into the future, we learn of Asher's whereabouts as the other students try to dispose of the body.—garykmcd
