Longmire: Harvest
PartialMovieViewer30 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Once again Walt and his team's detecting prowess shines just like a brand new star on a pressed khaki shirt. With all this going for these folks, they never get a break. Either their best buddy is in prison, or one deputy is riding the 'Insanity-Express' to Nutsville, or another deputy is losing control of her crazy-wild hormones, life is never smooth as law enforcement in the wilds of Wyoming. What is a sheriff to do? Not to worry, all is not lost. There is one remaining deputy in control of his faculties…'The Ferg.' Always dependable and willing to hold down the fort, 'The Ferg' is being recognized vital as a county-crime fighter. Oh yeah…I almost forgot - the crime. Trust me there is plenty lawlessness out there. The inescapable stench of lethal nastiness, forever lingers in Absaroka County. Being the sheriff, and all, these incidents always land on Walt's stoop. I don't know if it's a horrible gene-pool or some odd-ball procreation practices going on within the community – but there is an endless supply of bodies and criminals. I am so glad the don't have a shark problem. This program is never boring. Just like previous weeks, it's always time to gas-up the Bronco, chamber a round and hit the dessert. Every week in the county, crime-is-a-foot. No – it really is a foot. A partially nibbled-on foot is discovered, missing the rest of its body – yuch. While 'The Ferg' and Walt are doing police work; 'The Branch' is off doing crazy-man work and 'The Vic' - I guess she's doing the very best she can screwing up her own life. And whatever 'The Vic' plans on doing…she always succeeds. With all this turmoil and emotional muck – I do not see this being neatly packaged and stowed-away in two weeks. I am befuddled. As always – this is another absolutely excellent product. Super cast, crew, writing, directing and whatever else is needed to turn out quality TV programs. I never claimed to be some hi-brow authority on the entertainment industry. I just like what I like…and I will stay with it as long as I like it. Keep up the good work.

It Keeps Right on a Hurting

This episode's center is a farm, run by two sisters, whose father has been found shot to death. The guy who owns the property they are on is total jerk, but he has rights. Walt continues to look into the crazy stuff Branch has been doing (or is it crazy?). Meanwhile, Vic continues to be trying to find her way, filled with guilt for doing the right thing. She is now at a crossroads. Husband or job? Walt's detachment doesn't seem to be helping.
