Iron Dream has 240 shots over its 15mn running time, excluding the credits. The film was shot over 3 days of principal photography.
The books used in the short film are actual books written by François Vidocq, including Daniel's manuscript. Alexandre Brasseur father, Claude Brasseur, played Vidocq in Les nouvelles aventures de Vidocq (1971) (TV Series). The only exception is the Marquis de Sade book which is actually a copy of the James Bond Dossier by Kingsley Amis.
No artificial lighting was ever used making this film.
