Quality is through the roof. Music is excellent. Narration is wonderful. Human interest aspect is unique, I think, just enough but not too much.

For those of us who can't EVER get enough nature documentary fare, this is an excellent alternative to the BBC and ole Dave. For years we have watched Blue Planet etc get better and better in technique and actual discovery, but the last few series have leaned like Pisa. Recent contracts with Net flux probably haven't helped to soften the preaching. With AOC's personal advisers recently admitting the Green Deal is NOT really about climate, and computer models gone more amuck than the HAL 9000, nature documentaries need to strive to be factual. Do I expect them to be shiny and cheerful? Well, "Wildest Indochina" has a bunch of references to the devastation of the Viet Nam War. But they are factual, not speculation that borders on hysteria. So who am I? One of Carl Sagan's biggest fans, still reeling from his 1972 Global Cooling predictions. I believe in hydrogen cars, preserving the Amazon Basin, and severely curtailing pesticides and herbicides world wide. Which makes me the greenest person I know. Yet I am still disappointed that the Algore ocean did not flood New York 10 full years ago. I will never forget when the Cousteau Society sold my name to NARAL for contributions. And THAT was almost 30 years ago.
