a little coffee, some pie, and reflections (and a tiny bit of improv'd in-character speak!)

Warning: Spoilers
Split between a black and white portion and another in color, Between Two Worlds is a special feature on the blu-ray box set for Twin Peaks (released in 2014) where David Lynch sits at a table (with actual, I think, people at a restaurant eating and talking quietly around them, unless they're extras), and he is with Ray Wise, Grace Zabriskie and Sheryl Lee.

In the first part of this 36 minute short feature, Lynch asks all three - in *character* as the Palmer family (Sarah first since, you know, she's still alive by the end of season 2) - what the past years have been like, what they've been doing, how they feel, etc. It may feel awkward for the first, like, ten seconds, but the actors get into it and even the way Zabriskie scrunches up her face seems just about right.

Then for the rest (most) of this, they break character and Lynch just asks the actors over coffee and pie what they remember about working on the show (and they do dig in, don't think it's just props!) It's a pleasant enough trip down memory lane for people who clearly respect and love working together, and that's what makes this worth watching. There's some opinions dashed off some may not agree with - Fire Walk With Me hasn't gotten its due for example - but for the most part it's getting to sit down with old friends to do a little in-character improv, reminiscing, and it's basically revisiting these characters for the first time in many years... and before the new season starts as well!
