The contestants are awkwardly getting their hair done (for way too long) while answering pop culture questions from different decades. It's a stale trivia game trying so hard to feel refreshed by being hosted by a barber shop. Because what's more exciting than putting an overly-saturated gaming style together with getting a haircut?

Who the hell green-lit this 'game show'?? It's like someone watched 'Cash Cab' and said "We can do that in a barber shop". It absolutely does not work well. The only reason the people working on the contestants' hair aren't totally annoyed is probably because they're being paid well for being on this show.

I watched part of one episode for the first time today. Not sure if a crew member was in the background or if the woman was a customer wanting her hair done but her facial expression matched my thoughts, she was more annoyed than excited about the game. Pretty sure she thought "Hurry the **** up".

The mirrors all over the barber shop pretty much show that there's no audience but the cheering sounds like they have a decent crowd. It's probably two or three crew members or employees and then the audio department layered the cheering a few times to give it a fuller feel.

They played Charades on a mirror with shaving cream while two other people, not the contestants, had to guess what the word(s) was. Are you kidding? Who were those other two people? Did these contestants just happen to bring their friends to the barber shop with them? "Hey Tom, want to watch me get my haircut during lunch hour? It'll be fun!" Or are those other two people just waiting to get their haircuts next? If that's it, good for them for having the patience to put up with the long wait. I wouldn't. I couldn't even watch this disaster for 10 minutes.

Oh, and finally, I don't understand the comb-thing they have. Each contestant takes turns pulling out a comb and then handing it to the host. I guess the questions asked are on the combs, so the host is just making the contestants hand him the 'cards' that most hosts hold themselves. Essentially, they're choosing the questions the host will ask but it's still random since the contestants don't see the question anyway. It's a completely unnecessary step.

The only saving grace of the show is the host is kind of funny with some one-liners. It's not enough.

If you're the type of person to go to barber shops just to watch other people get their hair cut but don't want to leave the house to do so (or you worry they'll think you're a creep), this show is for you. The trivia is weak, so stick with Jeopardy or any other show.
