The show opens with Steve Austin and Vince McMahon signing a contract for Austin to fight the Undertaker at the next PPV. The first match is Edge versus Gangrel. X-Pac and Road Dogg tar and feather Howard Finkel. The Hardy Boyz defend the Tag Team Championship against Val Venis and The Godfather. Michael Cole interviews Triple H, Chyna and Billy Gunn. We see a Tori vignette. Jeff Jarrett goes to the ring to cut a promo, but gets interrupted by Steve Austin. Triple H, Chyna and Billy Gunn take on Road Dogg, X-Pac and The Rock. Terry Taylor interviews Droz. Droz faces Al Snow in an evening gown match. Mark Henry and D-Lo Brown were supposed to wrestle the Acolytes, but Mark is not medically cleared because of high blood pressure. So, the Acolytes issue an open challenge which is answered by Bob Holly. GTV shows Joey Abs hitting on Stephanie McMahon. Test faces the Mean Street Posse in a gauntlet match. The main event is the Undertaker and Kane versus Steve Austin and the Big Show.
