The later work of the real Fritz Bauer contributed to the creation of an independent, democratic justice system in West Germany, as well as to the prosecution of Nazi war criminals and the reform of the criminal law and penal systems.
In front of the Oberlandesgericht Frankfurt am Main (Higher regional court Frankfurt am Main) is a rock statue in commemoration of Fritz Bauer and the Auschwitz trial of 1963. The statue depicts an iceberg and symbolises that the trial only showed the tip of an iceberg and the majority of crimes remained unpunished.
In Spain was released with limited opening in 30 theaters (16 provinces); later was a widest opening in 52 theaters (30 provinces). The film was projected in dubbed version / subtitled version.
